> 3 dayI cant always get really flat paint for small touch-up latex samples. Matt samples are not perfectly flat paint and shine on pre-painted surfaces. The silica powder kills any sheen and makes the latex samples thicker for drip free applications on ceilings or walls. I mix the silica and latex in small tins and let sit for a minute or two before applying. I little goes a long way, use fractional teaspoons per ounce of paint.

Greater than one weekThis product worked exactly as I had hoped it would. My only caution is that you open it in a room with still air, because it is extremely light--think of it as a container full of feathers: You wouldnt think of opening a container of feathers outdoors, so think you this product in the same way. As for how to use it: Mix your resin and hardener completely before adding the fumed silica. Then mix it thoroughly to eliminate any lumps before applying it to whatever surface or volume you intend to. It worked for me and it will work for you. I recommend it.
