Normally in polishing your shaping comes first. Once the surface is shaped and flat ie smooth then you can start working your way though the grits of sand paper removing any Mill marks or sanding of the previous grit. these make quick work of working your way though the grits to get to that dull shine with the grey pad. Subjective Cons: (1) The brown pad (or rough grit) wears out the quickest. (2) Although these are small they are not small enough for the tightest of areas. (3) Will heat up your electric rotary tool as these are fun to use. (4) Just like any other rotary cutting tool these will catch corners and force your tool in the wrong direction Pros: (1) These are much easier to use then sand paper even on larger surfaces. (2)Even though these do ware out they do a lot of work before they are unusable. (3) The low grit Brown (roughest) pad will not shape (remove surface metal) but will follow the current shape rounding edges slightly. I suggest getting 2 packs of these if your going to be using these for more then one small project. Im rebuilding a motor with a ton of parts to clean and polish. I have yet to get though the rough fast wearing pad yet but getting down there. Clean oils and grease off the surfaces first as these will smear it across your surface. Unless your oil,wet sanding.

Packaging was very poor......flimsy box! They work ok. But not very durable!

Extremely poor quality. They fall apart almost as easily as if I was using a dandelion attached to my deemed. Completely useless.

The wheels work well but fall apart too easily. Be prepared to 4 or 5 per small job like cleaning a bolt

They work but wear down very fast, maybe 10-15 mins of use per wheel

While the prouct is satisfactory, there was no description as to the abrasiveness that each color represented.

I use these wheels to polish off Sterling silver jewelry ordered when I want a satin or brushed finish. The most abrasive ones remove Imperfections and the less abrasive ones give the piece a final polished look.

This 50 pack of abrasive buffing wheels is a great value for smaller wheels that work great for detailed buffing and grinding work. The 1/8 inch shanks are compatible with nearly every brand of rotary tool and you get a variety of grits for various stages of grinding and buffing. I tried out the highest grit wheel on the spine of an older knife I have, and it pretty quickly removed the layer of oxidation and restored the shine of the steel. Edge work like that does of course wear these down pretty quickly, but that’s to be expected with most buffing wheels like this…plus there are plenty in the pack. Overall, this is a great value for pretty good quality buffing wheels that work as expected…solid five stars.

Very easy to use, but it wears down very quickly. I was using these on detailed woodwork and was disappointed how quickly they wore out.
