> 3 dayThe sideways dimensions are 5/8 long (outside) and 5/16 long (inside). This product is competitive against the more attractive, plastic or metal, permanent chains because of its convenience and changeability. Under normal conditions, chains of any length created by this product will not break because of the pulling force keeping the individual links apart. However, if that pulling force is momentarily nullified, such as during an explosion or during strong winds, then the chains created by this product would be less secure than permanent chains. Extremely heavy loads could also break this plastic chain link product. Consider also buying a very attractive, permanent chain that requires cutting it to the appropriate length. Combine permanent chains to eyebolts or eyebolt magnets using a locking carabiner or a marine grade stainless steel quick link or a marine grade stainless steel snap hook.

> 3 dayPerfect for a bird, sugar glider or other small animal cage. I accidently bought two 100 piece packs and I am glad I did because I use them to hang all the toys and accessories in our animal cages. Once I have the number of pieces linked together to hold whatever the item is I cut pieces of drinking straws and use those pieces to close the gaps so no beaks or little hands get stuck in the break in the link.

> 3 daySmaller than expected. My fault though because I didnt read the description. Its not safe for a bird bigger than a parakeet to play with because my umbrella cockatoo started shaving them because they were so small! Got a refund though, so its all good.
