Got crisp images & perfect blacks with: 180s @ 400° Scrap of fabric over heat press pad (really dont need anything fancy/expensive.. I used muslin) Sub paper on top of fabric (image facing up) Ornament taped with just one long piece Teflon sheet on top Light-ish pressure Tips: If sublimating edge to edge, print so your design is juuuust bigger than the ornament. It makes centering easier & when you remove the ornament after you press youre far less likely to get unwanted smudges from touching extraneous ink when the ceramic is still around 400° Once in place on heat press & before pressing, slice one side of the tape holding down the ornament to free it. My method was to immediately flip the ornament over with a wooden (or silicone) spatula after pressing, and proactively freeing one side prevented any ghosting caused by even the slightest movement while trying to get the tape off. (BONUS: the long side of the tape can become a carrying handle for transferring the ornament gently to water) I did many double-sided successfully with the same exact settings, but found the one-side-at-a-time approach was the best & easiest. ALWAYS have at least 6 ornaments on the press at once for even pressure, and place them in the very middle. Only pressing a couple at a time will almost surely result in breakage. I just surrounded the couple I was doing with blank and/or oops ones & got no breaking. And for the crispiest images, sharpen your image to the point of thats a little too sharp and then sharpen it one step further. Itll look super grainy but will sub super sharp. Wow.. I really got into this process..
