14 Superhero, Black Girl, Hand Puppet

I am not sure how my 6 y.o. got into puppets, but she wanted one, so I ordered this one. I am no puppet master, but the quality seems really good considering how rough she can be with it. The hair style stays in place and all the stitching seems really good. You can put your fingers in the puppets hands to move them, but Im not sure my 6 y.o. has the dexterity to move the puppets hands and the mouth with just one of her hands. The hero mask is removable, so you can reveal the puppets true identity.

She was a gift for my God daughter. Loved loved loved the puppet. I want one for myself.

The puppet is well made and well stitched. Its lightweight and compact with a sleeve on the back to put your hand in. The sleeve is roomy so even bigger hands will fit. The cape comes off. I love that its POC, so good for representation and inclusivity. My girls took to it right away. The clothes is brightly colored, and the super hero theme is so current and on trend with world events. Good puppet

Very nice overall but the lower jaw needs to be easier to open because the mouth is moved with the thumb more than with the top of the hand and its very hard to move the bottom lip, so when you move the top of the hand youre kind of moving my whole head and the puppet is not looking at you whereas when you move the thumb in the ventriloquist position it looks more like hes talking and its very difficult to move that thumb. If you want the kids to unplug from the TV, games, phone, or tablet and just have fun the old-fashioned way, getting this puppet is a great start. We already owned several from the Silly Puppets brand. A superhero boy, and the wizard. Which our Little Girl actually calls the Wise Old Elf, since she thinks its the character from Ben & Hollys Magic Kingdom. Since we knew the other puppets were high quality, we figured this one would be great as well. And it definitely is. Its designed well. Surprising, since the puppet is only thirty bucks. Most in this price range usually fall apart easily. This puppet is made well, very durable. The outfit is really cute. I like that our Daughter is able to use it, but my hand isnt too big to get it into the mouth area inside. What she loves most about this one is the hair, and how it moves around. Including this one, we now have three of the smaller superhero puppets, and one large 25 inch one (that the hand can be moved with). I have a background in street magic, and I always enjoyed using puppets for little shows I volunteered to do at schools and the childrens hospital where I grew up. I love doing different voices, so we all have a blast when I get to put on a little cardboard box show for our Daughter or her friends. Though most of the time, we just play around the house. Our Little Girl with one superhero, me with another, my Wife with the third small one. And rescue her stuffed animals from villains, little games like that. Anything that gets her to use her imagination can only be a good thing. We also have the 25 inch full body puppet version of this same doll. They look identical, we just tell our Daughter that the bigger one is her big sister. Should you buy this puppet? Absolutely order it today. The detail on the puppet is very good. The clothes are nice, the motion on the puppet is easy to use. Weve been more than satisfied with the quality of hand puppets that this brand puts out. Know in advance, if youre gifting it, that it doesnt come in any special sort of packaging. Just a simple, clear plastic bag.
