I bought both the Back in the Day and Remember When booklets for the year 1967 (as table gifts at my parents 50th anniversary). The content was similar: random stats, prices, ads, etc. The Back in the Day book had more old-time advertisements, but they were shrunk smaller, so any text that was a normal size font in the original ad became completely unreadable in this booklet, so you could only appreciate the illustrations and any headline-sized text in the ads. Remember When wasnt much better, but if you have good vision, youll be able to just barely read the small print in the ads. Back in the Day was published on much whiter paper, so it was generally easier to read. In contrast (small pun intended), the Remember When booklet looked like the paper was actually manufactured in 1967, ha. In general, the Remember When booklet had less detail, so it was quicker to be put down. So Id recommend the Back in the Day version. (However, both booklets have little content for their cost... Ive seen 100+ page childrens books for the same price. I doubt there will ever be revised editions of these booklets, so you might also consider trying another publisher altogether.)

Its like a little pamphlet, not worth buying.

Fun facts to read, and the ads are the best part, but this is basically just an expanded greeting card. The price (I paid about $9) is too high for what you get, in my opinion.

The birthday boy - 70 - loved it. We all got a kick out of the prices back in 1946. We will be playing a guessing game of how much things cost way back when at his party this weekend!

Great supplement to a birthday gift. Everyone at the party ended up looking at this booklet.

I was expecting a book or magazine for the price, but got little more than a large card - way overpriced.

A gift for my mother-in-laws 90th birthday. It was fun to read it with her.

I gave this to my husband for his birthday and he loves it. He says its a blast from the past.

This popular gift is a tangible version of #flashbackfriday and #throwbackthursday. It works for any occasion to celebrate a milestone or remember what it was like for a significant life event. So, pause your 8-track tape and unplug your easy bake oven because there are new memories to be made and old memories to remember. Proudly made and sold in the USA since 1989, selling over 40 million copies and still holding strong as the #1 nostalgic gift because even though we live in a world that is constantly changing, memories are never left in the past.
