> 3 dayI think i read somewhere that they ship them somewhat short to compensate for stretch. They might have meant to compensate for someone not knowing how to measure and/or to save money. Not close to 30 and if they stretch any they will disappear. I am not sure why they even put the compounds in a cardboard container as they are useless. I just cut them off. I will get some use out of them but ehhh.

Greater than one weekActually put a nice edge on my old knives. Not sure what other peoples definition of sharp it by after 2000 grit and this belt it would shave arm hairs and thats really good to me. Be careful not to stretch the belt out too much though, I had to max out my tensioner.

> 3 dayWorks great on harbor freight 1x30 belt sander to put finishing touches on sharpened knives. Check online videos to see how its done and be careful! Fastest way to get the sharpest edge possible.

> 3 dayDont use these for straight razors if you value your life and your razors! But for knives its like cheating! My knives have never been this sharp before! Its absolutely astounding. You have to have the blade as sharp as you can get it first, but the strops will take it farther beyond sharp than I though existed.

> 3 dayI have an inexpensive (Harbor Freight) 1”x30” belt sander. To sharpen a knife razor sharp, I quickly use the 1000grit belt followed by the 2000grit belt and finish the process with the leather Super Stroup. If the knife just needs a touch up then I just use the Super Stroup. I have used it a LOT and it will naturally stretch a bit over time but it’s the quickest and fastest and easiest way I’ve found to put a very sharp edge on a knife.
