These are advertised as “extension cables”. They are not. They are simply long cables. Extension implies being able to plug into an existing cable to effectively make it longer. Not the case here.

I got these longer power cords for a Wyze Cam V3. The camera is outdoors and not near an electrical outlet. The closest outlet was about 20 feet away. The additional length allowed me to run the cable securely without it hanging across a wall. Because it is USB powered, I worried that the longer length might have an effect on the power provided. So far, that hasn’t been an issue. The camera hasn’t had any power problem. I have it on 24/7 recording and no issues or dead spots on the recordings. I used the other cable in my attic to connect another camera on a soffit. A lot easier than adding another electrical socket. That camera doesn’t have any issues either. So I would say the cables work as I hoped they would.
