Im a big fan of making cold brew, but didnt have the right tools for the job before this. This made my process of draining off the grounds so easy! My process: - Coarsely grind 12 oz whole coffee beans (like what youd use for french press) - Put coffee grounds in this coffee bag and seal by tightening the drawstring, twisting the excess fabric, and wrapping the drawstring around the bundled up coffee bag (this keeps the grounds from slipping out of the top) - pour 13 cups cold water into a large mixing bowl and add the coffee bag - allow to steep for approx 20 hours, stirring occasionally - squeeze the bag to strain out water from the coffee grounds, and discard the used grounds - store cold brew in airtight containers (I use a few 3 1-quart mason jars) in the fridge for up to 2 weeks (to clean: rinse most of the coffee grounds in the sink and wash in washing machine)

I bought this because two of these were about the same price as a single CoffeeSock, and they said 100% organic cotton. The thread was clearly not cotton, It was very plastic like. The drawstring is also plastic, though this is clearly marked in the description, I had missed that, so there was no chance I was keeping this product. Theres no point in cutting out the plastic by using cotton if its just going to have plastic thread and drawstring anyways. Thats a pointless compromise, and therefore a pointless product to me. I have now bought a CoffeeSock, and am happier with it.

The bags remove all sediment from my cold brew and I even filter my hot french press coffee through it, since my french press leaves a large amount of coffee sludge in the bottom of my mug.

I got this as a present for my friend so I havent personally tried it, but she absolutely loves it!

We original made our cold brew in a French press but it was a long process for two cups of coffee. We finally bought a big almost 3 gallon mason jar with a spigot and use this to steep our grounds. We now get a weeks worth of coffe. Easy to just rinse and let air dry, have not noticed any effect on the coffee.
