Needed a cord for old ps3 and ordered this one and it works perfectly.

Put simply: Cord works the way it is intended with no issues.

Bought this for my Grand Nephew. I plugged it into my PS3 to make sure it worked before giving it to him. It fit just as good as the original cord that came with my PS3. His PS3 is an older model than mine and the cord works just fine.

It works, but could probably find one in a thrift store for 50 cents
