2 Set Luggage Suitcase Replacement Wheels Axles Wrench Deluxe Repair 70x24mm,

The binding posts shafts are to short. I need two inch shafts not one and a half inch. Until I get 2 binding post shafts I cant install wheels. I purchased two sets of suitcase replacement wheels

This is cheaper than buying new luggage. Installation was easy. Removing the old wheel was difficult. The old axle pin is not threaded with a nut, but rather a rivet. I drilled the rivet out. The new wheel is thinner than the old wheel, so time will tell if that really matters. If you have a Samsonite 2 wheeler suitcase like me (see picture), then you will need wheels with a 40mm axle pin. Any shorter and I dont think the nut would reach the pin.

I installed these on an old (maybe 25 years or so) Samsonite roller bag. The first thing I did was to get the old wheels out with a Dremel tool and a grinder attachment. It was rather easy but I had to clean up all the resulting metal powder. The next critical step was to measure the one good wheel. I then looked for the exact dimension wheel in Amazon and came up with this one. There were no instructions included but installation was simple. The tools I needed for installation were included (allen wrenches). I decided to put the washers on the outside (of the wheel well) because the bolts and nuts had a roughed up inner surface that I thought might damage the plastic. So far the luggage rolls wonderfully.

So easy to install. Took less than 5 minutes. Holding up well so far in the first few weeks.

As reviewers have reported re other suitcase brands, installation is not carefree. The wheels on the DELSEY looked like they could be removed by using a wrench. Oh, so wrong! We finally drilled out the wheel shaft (drilling from inside the suitcase). Once we did that, the cursing ended and installation was easy. The match to the original wheel was so good we sent our traveler off to her plane with one old and one new wheel. Smooth. She can tackle the other wheel if she gets really bored someday.

Used these to replace the wheels on my older model Atlantic Carry-On suitcase. Worked perfectly.
