unit was super easy to setup and works great. Range is very good and has very good passthru.excellent product easy to use if you also have the TP-Link wireless router

Setup didnt take long, though in todays relative lack of patience, it felt like kind of a long time. Maybe 2 minutes to get some of the lights to come on to the status at which you expect them to - power, wi-fi link, and device link just take a little while to finally come to their senses. Its probably 45 seconds, but it feels like a good 5 minutes while youre staring at the stupid thing, waiting for the next step.Plug it in near the router, wait for power light, hit the WPS buttons on this and my TrendNet router, wait for wi-fi link to show, move it closer to the dead/weak zone, plug in, wait for the wi-fi link to change to green, and youre good!Allegedly, the wi-fi link LED shows you how strong the signal is (red? move it closer to the router. orange? move it a little closer), but when I plugged mine in, it was orange for a while until it finally linked up and then it was green, and it has been working GREAT for me. Our router is about 2/3 of the way toward the back of the house, downstairs. I plugged this in, upstairs, about 1/3 of the way toward the back of the house. I was struggling to get halfway decent speeds from the front room upstairs before, but with this extender, its been smooth sailing.Have not yet noticed if my phone (Pixel XL) has been automatically switching between the original and extender, but I know that Ive manually pushed it to do so before.Regardless, it was an easy setup, I got it cheap on Prime Day ($25) and for that price I couldnt be happier with the results. Well be moving some rooms around in the coming months, which may move them further apart, testing the limits of the range, etc. Hopefully Ill remember to come back here and update.

this is a great device. really delivers. easy set-up. smaller than expected. nicely designed and manufactured. instructions are good and Netgear website is well done. arrived early. highly recommended

I was looking for something quick and easy to boost my wifi because my bedroom was a dead zone. This was cheap but it works great.

Good for picking up the signal but it creates a whole different network to connect to. So if youre in a bubble between the two each network fights and kills your battery.Very easy to set-up with my smartphone. Made a huge difference right away with streaming movies in a room on the opposite side of the house from router. Im very pleased!!

Fixed the WiFi dead spot in my house. I get a strong signal everywhere now. Really easy to set up. I tried it from a couple of spots before I found the sweet spot. Highly recommended.

Excellent product! I had a dead area in one side of my 2400 square-foot house, separated by walls, ect.Heres the low down:Read the directions! Then, plug it into the wall next to/near your router to start. For best results, name the extender something different from your wifi and give it a separate password. After it connects and has a name, plug the extender into an outlet in the dead spot. Done! Took me 10 minutes max.Note: You will now have 2 different wifi log-in/connections in your house you will need to use your original wifi in the areas where you had a good connection before. I dont mind options, some people may not like that though.

Using it in Access Point mode. Setup instructions were a bit unclear. But once I figured it out, everything went smooth and was pretty self-explanatory.

pretty easy setup. Works great. I live in an apartment so may not have same affect for others. But for me it made a huge difference because my router is far from my bedroom. This WiFi gear greatly improved our internet service throughout our house. In brief, would highly recommend to others who is looking for low cost WiFi extender.

worked well in a 3 bed 2 story home to extend wifi from 1st floor up to the 2nd floor.So far, so good. It certainly extends the signal throught the house.
