> 3 dayIve been replacing smoke alarm heads and these work well, along with multiple conductor Wago connectors. So much simpler than wire nuts and connection is easy to see and test.

> 3 daySo these are more expensive to the alternative wire nuts, but they allow you to do the job faster. You dont need to strip as much of the wire (you only need a bit of the exposed tip), and you dont need to wrap it off with electrical tape. I mainly bought these because I have canless recessed lights that require me to change the whole set of lights once every two years, which means I can easily just unclip the tips of the wires at the connection points and change out the whole set of lights instead of unwrapping, untwisting, then rewrapping, and retwisting the connection points.... just a simple flip and swap... it also means I dont need to climb the ladder with the extra pair of scissors and tape which is pretty awesome. The quality of the product is great, as long as its a connection point you need to rewire then these are totally worth the price. If your solution requires you to just tie two wires together and never touch them again in your lifetime then I think the cheaper wire nuts would be worth the extra hassle.

> 3 dayI had originally purchased a variety pack of Wago lever nuts to use for smart switch installations in my home. The variety pack contained the side by side 221-412 style for two wire connections - I quickly depleted those as many smart switches have wire leads and the side by side style quickly got used up for line/load black leads and neutral white leads (for those switches requiring neutrals). Looking to replenish the side by side two wire connectors, I instead sought out this newer (at least to me) 221-2401 inline style connector, as I had seen it in use in a couple Tech Tuber smart home installation videos. I found though that based on the specifics of each individual installation, both the side-by-side and inline styles have their particular use case. I actually prefer the side-by-side style if installing in a busy box - the side-by-side tend to lay up better in my opinion when pushing the wiring back in to the switch box. The inline connecters are preferable in a couple situations, including installing an overhead light fixture or extending overly short wires in a switch box. For overhead fixtures, the inlines are easier to snap on to the house wiring, and then bring the fixture up to the open end of the inline connector and snap the fixture leads to the house wiring (the side-by-sides have you fighting gravity a bit as the fixture leads need to be brought parallel to the side-by-side connector). I also have a switch leg switch box where the original ground wire was left overly short by the original electrician when the house was constructed - these inline style connectors are perfect for attaching to a short wire first, before any other connections are made, and then the wire lead from the smart switch can be easily snapped in - in this case, with a short house wire, the inlines dont fight being pushed back in to the box like they do when using the inlines with reasonable length house wiring. So in summary, both these inlines and side-by-sides are good and have their uses - I may have gotten a lower count inline box knowing what I know now, as I think the frequency of use of these will be lower than the side-by-side usage.
