This cord does work for the Wii U... however, it does not charge it like the original one does. You have to keep it plugged in to play.

Does not charge wii u game pad either docked or direct. Theyre rubbish, charges for a moment then quits. Tossed them. You get what you pay for I guess.

My Wii U needed a charger and this one was a very long cord that actually worked perfectly

Did not work with my WiiU. Screen kept flickering while plugged in

It works fine but its not the length it says. Its more of about 3 or 4 ft in length not 10 ft.
