3 Inch (75mm) Hook and Loop Soft Foam Buffering Pad for 3 Sanding Pad, 5 Pack

I have been using the 3m pad for years and ran across these and ordered a pack. Pack of these is about what you pay for 1 3m pad and these are identical as far as I can tell. I have about 10 hours of sanding with one already and its holding up well. Highly recommend as I do bodywork and gelcoat work for a living.

I liked the cost and the apparent value. Still have to test these for a while but think that when I need more this will be the place to go.

Polished and waxed my car with one of these. worked fine, no signs of wear!

If you have a sanding wheel, you need these and they work flawlessly.

As hoped

I use this as padding for my 3in polisher with sandpaper to make sure there isnt any hotspots of pressure and for the most part they get the job done, but after quite a while the adhesive that holds the front of the pad wears away and you will quickly find yourself going through all of the package until youre desperate enough to superglue them back on. Would I recommend them? Not really. Are they a bad purchase if you do decide to buy them? Again, not really a bad purchase I just had higher expectations especially with their longevity.

The soft pads make sanding and polishing much better without a hard backing.

These pads provide plenty of padding to help with contoured areas where a flat attachment would take a longer time to work on. One thing to be aware of is when remove this, make sure the velcro is pulled on instead of the foam. One pad I pulled a bit too hard on the foam and it separated from the velcro part a bit. I was lucky enough to be able to stick it back.
