3-PACK - Aurifil A1050-2600 Mako Cotton Thread Solid 50WT 1422Yds Dove

I love Aurifil for Quilting and this is the perfect color.

This thread is no good. Whether it is old or simply defective, I do not know. While sewing it continues to break. After breaking the second time, I took the cone off of my sewing machine and the thread was shearing and matted on the cone. The strand of thread looked like hair that has been teased. I truly believe these cones are seconds and or rejects. I will try to return it for a refund but I am afraid it is past the date of return.

Solid thread, Use this color for a neutral quilting. So far so good.

Since I took a quilting class last year, the only thread I have used is Aurifil. I have made several quilts since then and I find my machine has much less lint in the throat plate

Always use this thread for quilting/piecing. Tried other brands. They fuzz up.

It arrived in a timely manner and was a great value.

I opened this 3-pack past the return deadline, which was a mistake. The first two spools I opened were threaded incorrectly onto the cone— there was a loop of thread coming out from inbetween the layers on the spool. When I tried to use the thread anyway, it caught on the protruding loop and broke the thread line running to the machine. I tried unwrapping the second cone, to get down to wherever this extra loop started but gave up, way too embedded to get to. These must have been factory seconds or rejects since a visual inspection would have seen this flaw— extra loop of thread sticking out from the cone. Wrapped as a 3 pack the flaw was not apparent until unwrapped. What a waste of money! Back to buying my thread from a quilt store.

Love this thread. Strong, low lint, sews like a dream, great for piecing and quilting, and comes in a gazillion colors. Whats not to like?
