I had no issues with funny smells when I received my case. It doesnt perfectly hug my switch, but I dont mind as I dont need a super heavy duty case but its something to keep in mind for those that want something completely shock-proof. Its not a super hard case, and can be squished if someone stomped or sat on it, so again not heavy duty.

I love the design, but the colors are not like the photo, very poor intensity and seems cheap, but inside have a very good material
