Ordered these to tie dye baby clothes at a baby shower and they worked great! They were easy to use, relatively mess free, and came with pretty much everything you would need, even instructions on how to rubber band the clothes. They only thing it didn’t come with that I thought was necessary was plastic bags or ziploc bags to put the clothes into while they “set” and a large plastic cloth to cover the work surface (came with small plastic “place settings”). The colors seemed to hold up in the wash as well (at least the first wash - we’ll see how they hold up over time). Overall, we were very happy with these!

    Greater than one week

I bought this kit because it had several different color dyes. We used it and let the colors set for 24 hours. I rinsed the shirts as directed (until the water ran clear) the first time I washed the shirts the colors bled all over the white making them look like we started with pink shirts instead of white. The yellow started out bright but has faded to an off white color and thats after just one wash. I have used the Tulip kits in the past but tried this one because of the different colors... Im going to stick with Tulip from now on.

I read the reviews after purchasing and after completing the shirts shown below in addition to others I did not photograph. The bottles are very easy to use and the color, as shown, is amazing. The bottles do not leak unless you do not secure the cap (s) securely. Any of the negative reviews I read I found to be unfounded. My one compliant.... the kit is now $39.00 dollars... much less than what I paid for it several weeks ago!

I had my class create tie dye T-shirts for their field trip. This kit was perfect! Nice rich colors! They set and washed up nicely!

I have used another brand of dyes for tie dyeing and decided to try this for a change. The pack of 24 tubes was barely enough to make 13 shirts. Of course , you could say only 22 because brown and ocher are pretty horrible for shirts. I finished my first batch, let them sit in plastic 24 hours then rinsed. At this point they looked OK. Later on I did a quick wash in cold water with no detergent, and the shirts looked faded- the color had lost its vibrancy. They still look OK, but not like the other brand. To make the point , a shirt I made earlier this year was complimented twice at a Dead &Company concert at the Hollywood Bowl. None of the shirts with this dye will reach that pantheon of tie dye greatness.

Received the package purchased as a birthday gift for my granddaughter. When we opened it to use one of the dyes packages had burst. Needless to say once we tried to use the kit the color that had burst was everywhere. There was also no instructions so we winged it. All in all things worked out fine but the busted packet made things difficult. And you can’t tell a child you are returning their gift because one item came damaged.

Tulip is a much better brand. These bottles are very small and you will use 2.5 bottles on an adult small shirt. Colors are not as vibrant as Tulip.
