> 3 dayI really like my cats Litter Genie Plus, but the refills are soooo expensive, so I bought these bags to try. I made a bag of the right length from the original refill and secured it a cable zip tie to support these bags, then I put two of these bags inside (first photo) and wrapped them around the original refill (second photo). I put the whole thing in and secured the LG top (third photo). Its holding everything in place well without excess plastic sticking out (fourth photo). When it comes time to change, I will remove the double-layer bag and leave the LG support bag in place to support the next double-bag. (see photos). A lot of people on the internet are doing the same thing with 13 gallon bags, but there is waaay too much plastic. These bags are sturdy and are just the right size for the regular-sized LG. NOTE: they are NOT tall enough for the LG extra-large size. One lesson I learned --- start using these bags long before you come to the end of the LG refill --- when the refill is almost empty, it gets structurally weaker because there is so little plastic inside to support it. BTW, Ive also used these bags (single layer) in wastebaskets, etc. They are strong and work fine! Including for disposing of old clay clumping litter which can be quite heavy.
