This set of 4 inch wire wheels is impressive for how inexpensive they are. I always like to expect what I pay for but I would have paid more for this product it works so well and efficiently. This is for a 5/8 adapter, the brushes are designed for a large adapter and look larger than they do in the picture.. The wires have stayed in the brush even after multiple uses, except for the few loose on arrival. The brushes took rust off the bench easily and I highly suggest wearing PPE (personal protective equipment) when using these because they are very efficient but fast!

Rust removal 101 here we come. Automotive undercarriage prep and rust removal made easy. I attached this semi-flat steel wire wheel to my 11 Amp grinder and did a little cleanup under a 13 yr old vehicle during some suspension work. Worked fast. I did wear long sleeves, gloves and face/eye protection.I never trust any wire wheel at any speed to not release particles. Safety first here. Some spray paint primer and paint and I was good. The proper tools make life easy and this is one of them. These wire wheels are total gnarly (as my son said) and look like a they are ready for the zombie apocalypse. I dont weld but the larger knot wire wheel seems to be great to cleanup the welds. The Brass wheel seems to be made of special magnetic brass with my magnet test. Yes, the description does clearly state: brass covered steel wire. I just had to check it. So it is, what it states.

All 4 of these brushes seems to be doing a nice job while holding up well. Removing rust from trailer frame and they all have a different purpose and use on this project which they are all meeting expectations for the price. Starting to feel some vibration as they get used more so hope that does get to the point of off balance enough that I cant use them anymore. If that happens prematurely I will update my post to reflect that as my rating will fall. As for now I would recommend this set

I am a big fan of 3out of the 4 wire brushes on this set. The quality and workmanship of the three brushes are definitely very good. The fourth brush, the brass coated brass colored brush I am not a big fan! Because they are using a wire wheel with two dissimilar metals which is basically corrosion waiting to happen. This set would have been much better if they provided another carbon steel brush or a pure brush wire wheel. The brass wire wheel could be used for cleaning brass fittings, but using the brass coated carbon steel wire wheel on the brass fittings is not advisable because you may inadvertently embed carbon steel particles into your brass fittings which could induce corrosion in your brass fittings. If you need to clean brass or copper fittings buy a different set of wire wheels.

Price was high for such a poorly made product.

Good quality wire wheels, stood up to the test of rust removal. Work just as well or better than name brand. Affordable and would recommend this product to perform quality work.

Good quality - like the four different kinds - good selection. Be sure to wear safety glasses and long sleeves. As with all wire brushes, the wires fly everywhere. Good value for the money.

I liked this product because of its design. The built in hexagon nut makes for easy changing of wire wheels. With this 4 pack I was able to get even angle I needed with at least one pad. I use this quite a bit and they are just as sturdy as the day I got them. I have no complaints and very happy I ordered this when I did because it came in clutch a few weeks back getting the rust off the heads of steel well cover. Used the gold colored wheel to clean heads of bolt off so 18 mm fit on correctly.

Gets the job done when removing rust. These wire brushes are rated at 12,500 RPM so just make sure your grinder is rated for their use. I have the Metabo angle grinder and it’s rated at 11,500. My maintenance shop has quit a few of the Milwaukee angle grinders and they are rated at 11,000 RPM. That’s the corded ones. I didn’t check our cordless grinders but they should be below that. I would guess a couple thousand but you should always check. Never use a grinder above the RPM rating and if you do you will find out real quick why you shouldn’t. Lol. Either way they work great and I would definitely recommend this set.

These work great for getting off rust. They seem to be well made. 5/8 nut makes it easy to quickly swap one out for another. Plus with the variety here, you should be able to take care of whatever you need to and get every angle.
