> 3 dayUpdate: Zipper ripped off somewhere, I dont even remember it happening. First review: My current profession requires being around wet things quite often, this includes standing in a quarter to half an inch of water, these bags have done what they have claimed, resisted water just as I hoped now my bits arent always rusted out.

> 3 dayFirst: These are nice enough bags, but the canvas is absolutely positively not waxed canvas, as the top reviewer claims. The canvas is tightly woven, so the bags should afford some water resistance. Second: The bags I received were double stitched, but the stitches are placed 5 to the inch (cheap) and the thread is pretty thin (cheap). Why does that matter? Because the more stitches per inch, the greater the seam strength. When you space stitches this far apart with thread that is too light for canvas its just a matter of time before the stiffness of the material and the weight of the contents will wear through the top thread. Once the top thread is ripped the whole seam unravels. If you lose one of the two stitch lines the other wont last long. Third: the zippers are brass and decent quality, but being brass zipper they will not be as smooth pulling as a nylon zipper, especially at the start and finish of the run. Applying silicone will make them run easy and forestall corrosion of the metal. I like the bags enough to keep them, but the stitches should tighter (at a minimum 7 to the inch) and the thread thicker at this price point. I used to sew canvas tent walls for a living, so I know a bit about constructing canvas products. Hopefully the manufacturer is listening.

> 3 dayZippers are great and the material is very sturdy. I use these as ditty bags for backpacking and hunting.
