We put both ground coffee and whole beans in sealed glass quart containers after opening package. These work well for both full containers and less-full.

Unlike some reviewers mentioned, mine did not come with a sharp edge at all. They were so nicely made that, I bought a second package. I use them for coffee, hot cocoa and for recipes that require 1/8 cup of dry or wet ingredients.
