> 3 dayIf you havent installed these before, watch the video listed in the instructions. Its helpful. Ill point out a mistake I made to help others avoid the same fate. Unless youre living alone, add more distance to whatever you feel the door swing should be. Others like your spouse or kids might slam the door open causing the door you thought you fixed to still hit. Basically, test the door after you install the restraint by slamming hit open. If nothing hits, youre good. If the door hits, start over. I recommend these restraints and will buy more.

> 3 dayMy wife bought an expensive console for the TV/AV equipment and to store DVDs, games etc. It has a center compartment designed for the PS4 (etc.) but its door swings down and is supported only by its hinges. I could see that kids would drop the door with force and break the hinges out of the oak frame. I placed one of these on each side of the door to inhibit stress on the hinges, and it works perfectly. Thanks! Saved a nice piece of furniture from damage.

> 3 dayThese braided cable cabinet door restraints are nicely made (in the USA). Theyre highly effective in restraining inadvertent excessive cabinet door swings that can cause damage to adjacent plaster walls. Installation instructions are clear. And when the instructions are followed, the cables disappear from view when the cabinet door is closed. Have used a number of these around the house.

> 3 dayWe had some cabinet doors that were opening too far and banging into other cabinets/the wall/dishwasher/etc. These turned out to be a great solution for them. Installation was easy - less than 5 minutes per door. Just be sure to mark your drill bit so you dont drill all the way through your door. I was a little worried that these would be a little ugly, but we never notice them anymore. I installed them on the tops of the upper cabinets as the instructions said. But for the lower cabinets, I installed them at the bottoms so that they wouldnt interfere with getting things in and out of the cabinets.

> 3 dayIt does exactly what it is supposed to do, just make sure to give the wire the right orientation so it doesn’t block the cabinet door when it closes

> 3 dayI needed something to keep the medicine cabinet door from opening too far and banging into the glass cover of the light. The bathroom is cramped so I was stuck with the design. I was fortunate that the length fit my needs. It is well built and easily withstands the surprise abrupt tug that occurs when someone opens the cabinet door. Without the restraint I probably would be going on my fifth replacement of the bathroom light. Maybe some day this will be available in various sizes. I happen to be lucky that the size that is offered was what I needed.
