Greater than one weekOur kitchen cabinet door kept opening and slamming into the side of our refrigerator and making a loud bang. This item really worked out great and was easy to install. No more loud banging!

> 3 dayVery effective way to prevent cabinet doors from hitting each other. I dont think the hinges are strong enough to hold a heavy or full door from hitting a wall. If one is handy, the hinges are not difficult to install.

> 3 dayNeeded a solution for flat-hinged cabinets that were striking wall hangings behind the doors and these work great.

> 3 dayIf you havent installed these before, watch the video listed in the instructions. Its helpful. Ill point out a mistake I made to help others avoid the same fate. Unless youre living alone, add more distance to whatever you feel the door swing should be. Others like your spouse or kids might slam the door open causing the door you thought you fixed to still hit. Basically, test the door after you install the restraint by slamming hit open. If nothing hits, youre good. If the door hits, start over. I recommend these restraints and will buy more.

> 3 dayI followed the directions for the first one and had to re-drill and re-position it three times. They say to measure 7 inches from the inside edge of the cabinet door and 1 inch down from the top, but 1 inch wasnt enough gap to clear the top of my cabinet opening, so the screw hit against that and 7 inches was too far out, so the cable barely reached the top of the cabinet box and restricted the angle TOO much. 6 inches in and 1.5 inches down ended up being the magic measurement for me. So I recommend to do your own measuring and figure out what works for your cabinets, rather than blindly following the direction. Once I got the right measurements, they seemed to work well, though. Cable doesnt interfere with the doors ability to close and it gets the job done in terms of angle restriction.

> 3 dayWhoever remodeled the kitchen before we bought our house didnt account for the fact that when one of the cabinet doors opened, the knob would hit the edge of the wall, which ended up damaging the drywall and exposing the corner bead. I bought this and installed it, patched & painted the drywall and forgot about it. I realized that sometimes it is a real testament to how well something works when you forget all about having installed it (it means it is working)!
