This birthday mug is probably not for an 80 year old man. I got it for my mom. It says Making the World a Better Place Since 1942. It has a rainbow of different colors and patterns, and I do not think that most men would want this mug! Mom likes it very much and will use this mug and enjoy her early birthday present! She says that old folks like new cheerful things! We also appreciate that its quality ceramics, made in the US. Nice gift!
