These are awesome. If they were cheaper I’d have one in every project bag.

I bought this for my crafty Lady and she does needle felting and beaded jewelry. She says that these nippers are 1. Lightweight and easy to use (even with her Rheumatoid Arthritis). 2. Very sharp blades for close-quarters snipping. 3. Excellent for fine work. I recommend these for all-of-the-above tasks and the craftmanship is excellent!

As a quilter I have found over time, that I dont like having to pick up a pair of scissors or even scissor-like nippers to snip thread tails at the sewing machine, ironing board or even the cutting table. I bought my first curved snips to snip threads under the sewing machine embroidery hoop and have been hooked on Tula-like snips ever since because they are light weight, take very little effort to use, dont take up much real estate in my sewing area, and they have multiple uses (if you have the right snip, that is). The micro-serrated blades of Tulas snips work great because when clipping threads, the thread doesnt try to slide out of the blade without being cut. They are also good at cutting fabric which isnt something that snips can usually do. If you notice that you missed trimming off a dog ear on some patchwork and your snips are handy...use them! Again, because of the serrated blades, the fabric stays in place between the blades and is cut. I use these snips not only to clip threads but also as a seam ripper (Yes I admit it. I have to use them as rippers a lot sometimes!) because they have fairly thin blade tips. I use them as a ripper when the stitch length is 1.8 or higher. The opalescent finish on these snips makes them feel a bit heavier/bulkier than some other snips but I find the finish helpful because they are not slippery so are easier to hang onto. When I took the snips out of the package there was a slight burr or roughness at the blade tip that snagged fabric so I simply filed them with an emery board. I believe it may have been the finish that had caused this and once filed, the snips were fine. Overall, I like these snips and they have become my go-to snips.
