Theyre getting better. Ive reviewed a few DBPower projectors in the past, and with each new model, they have been generally getting better. The DBPower RD-821 has been my go to mini projector for awhile now, but it looks like this L23 is a solid upgrade. Starting with brightness, the L23 outshines the RD-821 in brightness. Its amazing how much LED technology continues to progress. Its brighter than the RD-821, and will easily rock a 100 screen in a semi dark room. Now, brightness is one thing, but overall feature set matters as well. This projector has backlit buttons on top, which makes operating the projector in a dark room easier. However the big features that impress me are the good media player, and the wireless screen mirroring. The media player took everything I threw at it, including security camera footage in an odd format, and my 4K test video. Whatever video processor is in this projector, its a beefy one. The screen mirroring was also pretty easy to set up and responsive. Good for business presentations. I dont know if it could handle 60 FPS video over wireless streaming, but I tested it with a cheap phone, so a better phone will probably give better results. The overall presentation is standard for DBPower mini projectors. You get a nice carrying case, user guide, quick start guide, AV cable and HDMI cable. However, the standout feature that takes this to 5 stars for me is the media player and the screen mirroring. The Bluetooth connectivity is also nice. Overall: Portable, versatile, and capable. I like it!

The picture quality and sound on this projector is great, however, I can not give this product more stars because it has a lot of difficulty with airplay and produces a high pitch buzz. The fan noise is bearable but there’s also a super high pitch noise that pierces my ears. If this was fixed then I’d rate 5 stars.

Does not work with Androids easily. Does not work with any streaming platform.

Compact little projector that has a great picture quality. I took photos before using. It comes in a nice travel case to keep it protected. Instructions easy enough to follow. Highly recommend

All features were just as advertised

I bought this projector when my old Fangor projector started to make insanely loud noise. I saw many before I came across this one in my research. Amazing quality compared to ones that will run you $300 or $400. I tried ones in those ranges. They all had advanced features to auto adjust, to 4D/4P keystone and digital zoom. But they all lacked in image quality. This projector doesnt have advanced keystone setting buy with what it has you can still get a clearer picture. Give it a try!

Perfect for movie night at patio or backyard if you dont want to expend over 200 dollars

I bought this projector to replace a older one with less lumens and a mediocre picture. I was not disappointed. This thing is compact and whisper quiet, the picture quality and brightness are outstanding. We watch a lot of movies and all genres and the experience has never been better. For the price this projector hits all of the high marks. The remote is a little flimsy but now a days many remotes are. I don’t even use it anyway. My projector is on a stand and once you e placed it where you want it and set your picture settings , a push of a button gets you up and running. I really can’t say anything negative about this product. If you are looking for a inexpensive projector with great picture and brightness, you can’t go wrong with this one!!!

Projector works fine for the price couldn’t really figure out how to get airplay to cast anything besides youtube videos tried both methods it recommended even then it drops quality drastically to 360p when not physically connected to projector. Speaker sound quality is good and loud but so is the projector which sounds like a jet engine sometimes. Overall for casual use it is a awesome and more cost effective substitution for a tv.

---Updated Review--- After the company saw I had issues with the projector and left a negative review, they contacted me several weeks later and had a brand new projector out to me in the mail. Obviously, they care about their reputation and brand and are willing to replace a project well outside of return and warranty window with a brand new one to uphold that reputation. The project is pretty awesome, it fills a 15 wall and definition & color is great. I hooked it up to a PA system and have an Apple TV on it. It would have 5 stars if it wasnt for the initial issue. If there are no updates to this review, it means the projector is still going strong (updated on February 27, 2023). ---Original Review--- Loved it while it worked. But it won’t even power on now. We literally only used it once/week approximately 2 hours for 6 months for movie night with the kids. I expected it to last at least 3 years, but breaking in under 6 months is bad. We will not be purchasing anything from this brand again, save your money and buy higher quality or be in my spot with wasted money on a useless brick in 6 months.
