Automatic day/night function works as it should, but I was immediately disappointed with the low brightness level. Based on comparison with MANY other brands and types of bulbs, I would have to estimate that these only put out around 550-600 lumens; NOT the advertised 1200 lumens claimed by the seller. If you want a bright light, look elsewhere.

> 24 hourTook me a while to check out the reviews of many Dusk to Dawn light bulbs. I picked this one due to the highly positive reviews in terms of its reliability. I also picked it for its 11 watt usage (while most use 12watt) of a 1200 lumen (Approx. 100watt equivalent) with 5000K brightness. I waited 1 week to write this to make sure that the light bulbs consistently come on at dusk and turn off at dawn. They work so well and I am thoroughly de-lighted with them. My husband thought we can use it for our night lamp in the house and it too works like a charm. When all the lights in the house are turned off, it instantly comes on. So we dispense with the use of the timer which is bulky and takes up the double outlets, besides, we no longer need to change the timer on/off setting when time changes. I dont usually write reviews but this product is reliable and a quality product. Not to mention, the price is also great coming in at around $3 per bulb. This product also works indoors. It is the best on the market right now, with lower wattage usage for the output of light and brightness. Highly recommend this particular brand.
