> 3 dayI am very very new to embroidery and like any new “hobby” it can be pricey. This brand was recommended to me by several people who have way more experience than I do. And the threads do not disappoint! The colors are exactly as pictured (sorry no pictures, still need to find a good way to organize them ) But very happy with how my first project turned out!! Absolute value for your money - a must when starting out! Next up - prewound bobbins!! Oh!! And to say that shipping was fast would be a complete understatement! Do it! Buy these! You won’t be disappointed

> 3 dayThread performs great in my Babylock Verve sewing/embroidery machine. No breakage or tangling of thread. Would have liked to have a turquoise colored thread, but none included. Four deep purples all, almost the same color, could have switched 2 of these out for other colors. An added plus would be if the spools had some way of locking the cut thread so it doesn’t unravel. Don’t want to have to purchase spool huggers. For now I used a little piece of scotch tape and taped the thread to bottom of the plastic spool. Overall happy with purchase.

> 3 dayLove the variety of colors and feel like it was a good value. Gave it 4 stars because the thread ravels a lot, and two threads in particular are getting hung up on the machine, causing the needle to break. But out of 63 threads, only 2 are causing problems. I think thats great!

> 3 dayMy husband bought me this thread to try. I used it when I converted these hand embroidery pattern witches into machine embroidery. The colors are nice and bright!. No thread breaks and no loops. There are 20-30 color changes in each witch. The witches are really big. I have tons of thread left. I plan on using the thread for the other 4 panels that will complete the set. Then I will make a quilt. I would like to get 5000 m spools to try on my 10 needle machine and see how it holds up.

> 3 dayI really wanted to love these. The price is really good and as many of the other reviews mention, the color selection is great. They’re packaged and organized well, with a handy color chart to help with choosing a matching thread quickly. However, I have found the quality of these threads to be extremely spotty. Some of them have been great, while others have been weirdly brittle and prone to snapping/twisting/tangling. I’ve used maybe 20 of the different colors now, and I’d say every other one has been of degraded quality. It’s kind of hard to explain what happens, but as you can see in the photos, there will be random breakages already in the thread on the spool (before I put it in the machine) and if I don’t notice and cut them out before starting, they VERY quickly create a huge rat’s nest and headache for me. Also, since the thread is fairly slippery, some split in half, but don’t break. They just keep twisting until there are these micro lumps in the stitch that degrade the strength, but you don’t notice until you’re done. It’s pretty frustrating. That’s the picture on the left. I thought the price was probably too good to be true. I don’t think I’ll be buying these again. It could be user error…but I don’t think so. And I doubt it’s my machines, since I’ve used these on a Singer Scholastic, Singer Simple, Whites and Brother machine. To be fair, I’ve had less problems on the Brother than the others, so maybe it likes that one better. But it’ll be less hassle in the long run to just spend a bit more on thread and save myself countless hours of clearing out the machine or rethreading a thousand times because the top thread keeps splitting in half.

> 3 dayI love this thread, the colors are beautiful. The one thing that I love the most is you do not have to remove the color sticker it has a slit in it so you can put it on the threader without removing it. All my other threads I have to remove the color sticker to be able to put on the threader so i lose the color name. Not this thread it stays on so you know what color you are using. Also the thread is so easy to unravel to thread. My other threads I have to cut it to find the ends but this thread is tied so you just have to pull and it is ready. I will definitely be buying more.

> 3 dayI love the thread! The colors are bright and dont fade. The thread is strong, doesnt break and great value. As a beginner embroiderer, I am extremely happy with my purchase and am looking forward to buy more!

> 3 dayMy order came very quickly and was just as advertised and very well packaged for shipping! I didnt write my review right away because I wanted to test the thread against what I have been using for 30+ years in business (Im now retired but still embroider!). I ran identical designs with compatible colors and I can see no difference in the thread at all, design ran flawlessly with both brands. I have only washed the two items twice but can see no running or dulling of colors. I especially love the smaller 500-meter cones, many colors are used infrequently and dont justify buying a 1000-meter cone which means I can buy more shades of thread! Larger cones are available to purchase for those colors you use a lot. The advantage I see for Brothreads over my previous favorite threads is the cost. I recommend Brothreads.
