I havent had a chance yet to check data speeds or really put it through its paces, but so far so good. Installation wasnt too bad for a newly purchased 64gb steam deck. Theres plenty of how-to vids on youtube. If youve ever done phone surgery, this SSD install is easier. Comparable to popping open the bottom panel of a laptop to work on the innards. I ended up flashing the OS from a mircoSD card. Most installations recommended a USB C thumb drive which I didnt have so I took a shot with a 32gb microSD card and didnt run into any problems. I ran into some minor snags with the OS install so this review may help some. The initial boot/Black install screens went through without problems. A couple times when it got into the steam OS to do an install it gave me some errors, but I kept retrying and it went through after a few attempts. The bigger problem I ran into was the final OS install/update while in Steam OS. The install status bar kept making it to almost the end but then go back to the beginning. After it did this a few times I figured something was wrong. Fortunately, there was a comment in the youtube vid comments section that saved the day. If this final install endless loop happens, turn off the deck completely and then get to the boot menu (I wanna say power up and vol up button at the same time, maybe vol down), then go to boot drive options. Theres two options for sk hynix with long alphanumeric designations. Just pick the one WITHOUT the steamOS title in it (I think it was the 2nd one for me). After that the final install went fine. The commentator that saved me also reported using a sk Hynix (512 gb version), so maybe this is a sk Hynix quirk. In the end I had I think 222gb free space, although I wonder if theres a leftover partition from the install that I can remove. I got this drive when it dropped to $20. Even at $35, this is a steal compared to the extra $130 you have to pay to get the 256gb model from steam.

Install was medium difficulty if you’ve never taken electronics apart then you might have some trouble. Once Inside the Steam Deck installation was a breeze. Watch a YouTube video on how to set the drive up again. Fast and reliable speeds. Used for all my games!

Perfect upgrade for the steam deck using the 64gb eMMC m2. Installation was straight forward and recovery of the OS was fairly easily. Plenty of how to videos on you tube so that helped me out. Only had it in for a day and still downloading content, but so far so good. Way faster than the 64gb. Highly recommend!

Comes in a little plastic zip baggy without any bells or whistles. It is as advertised, a nifty, but tiny little SSD. Its cheap and it works. Great as a backup.

This was an upgrade for my SteamDeck and once I got around to installing it, it has performed flawlessly. There are plenty of videos and guides to do the upgrade and it doesnt take much in terms of skill. Go for it.

I have been using this in my Steam Deck over a month now without issue. It certainly fits the upgrade on a budget category!

The solid state drive was pulled from BRAND NEW laptops for upgrade purpose. The SSD has been wiped and formatted. It works with all brand laptops with a PCIe interface (SSD length 30mm).  Capacity: 256GB Interface: PCIe Gen3 x4 Sequential Read up to (MB/s):  2,200 Sequential Write up to (MB/s): 900 Random Read up to (IOPS): 140K Random Write up to (IOPS): 190K
