Greater than one weekthese are okish, they do the job but not better than a cheap stones. i did manage to get a very good mirror bright edge but did not find it easier or quicker than stones. i would imagine that any one reading this is already a sharping snob, so no this will not take your sharping to the next level, and no this will not replace your stones, no they are not much better wet/dry sandpaper you pick up from the auto parts store. in summery if you want to try something different, or have no other way to sharpen they yes these will work for you, but with 3 plates of float glass and costing a total of $59.98, there are much better ways to go about it. Quick tip, make sure the edge of the film lines up with the edge of the glass, if you sharpen a knife with a bolster you will not be able to sharpen all the way to the base of the blade

> 3 dayI am very pleased with the purchase of my 7 Sheet Variety Pack PSA Pressure Sensitive Adhesive Lapping Microfinishing Sheets. It gives me the ability to produce a very fine edge on my woodworking tools. From my experience to date with this product, I am getting as fine an edge as I would with sharpening stones. I use the PSA Sheets on a large piece of safety glass and have all the grits on one surface.

> 3 dayThe product works as expected, but very pricey. I wish there were other cheaper options. I used this product to remove rust from my knives.

> 3 dayThe finer grit Lapping Paper lost some of its surface when I was sharpening my chisels. This only happened on the two finest grits. The abrasive surface would completely rub off the paper, as if I was scraping it off.
