This luggage was perfect for our flights with Southwest! Fit in the overhead bins. Rolls great!! Was able to wheel it down the narrow aisle of the plane with another carryon on top of it. Fit 6 outfits, 2 swimsuits and 1 PJ set for my son with plenty of room for toiletries and 2 beach towels. We placed stickers all over it. No problems with the zippers or anything. The plastic hard cover does seem to easily get scraped, but that doesnt bother me!

My husband uses this SwissGear luggage. It’s solid and glides smooth. Plenty of space for a small luggage. The hard shell makes it more heavy duty but it is lightweight.

I am really impressed with this SwissGear carry-on bag! Before having kids, I traveled for a living, sometimes upward 300 nights per year. So I know an excellent suitcase when I see it. This is a 20” expandable hard shell carry-on. It’s ‘carry-on’ approved for most airlines. It is lightweight but sturdy. The zippers are easy to use and smooth. The wheels are multi-directional, so you can push, pull, drag, or spin this beauty through the airport. The finish is chic and shiny black. The handles are strong and the interior lining has mesh a pockets and straps to organize your things. And now for my absolute favorite part: the telescoping handle is like BUTTER. Seriously, it is the most smooth handle action I’ve seen, as compared to some of my bags in the past like Tumi, Timberland, Vera Bradley, and Samsonite. It’s very well made and perfect to give to my mother-in-law who is headed to Vegas in a couple of weeks. Great product!

This is quite the durable piece of carry-on luggage. There is a zipper so it will expand a bit if necessary. I wish the zippers were metal. . but they are not. . . They are plastic. Corners have extra support. Wheels are smooth rolling. Nice pockets and such on the inside as well. Overall sturdy construction. It should last and last. . . Unless the plastic zippers give-out.

The exterior is sturdy, but does not take away from the internal space. It extends about 2-3 inches as well. I went on vacation with this thing stuffed to the brim and it was still easy to travel with. Best purchase I could have made.

So this is one of those carry-on suitcases that you can expand if you need to (or stuff it full, sit on it, and then zip the expansion back full heheh) thats also hard-sided to protect the inside. Its loaded with features including shoe pockets!!! I really like it and hope to take it on more trips in the future. So far its only taken two flights and held up well both times. You can really wheel it around any way you like, and its nimble and easy to maneuver even when I had to take it with me into an airport bathroom stall. Zipper jammed a little wee bit the first time I zipped it all the way shut (no I was not sitting on it trying to overstuff it!) but zero problems since then.

I gave this to my niece for her birthday. She is 18 and starting to travel with friends.

I happened to come across this Swissgear 20 inch carry on the week before we were going on vacation. My 8 year old son didn’t have a suitcase and I was planning on just using some big duffel bags prior getting to this.

I have a lot of hard case like this, and this one is really nice. For the most part, it is good enough for my need. This case closes with a zipper only because it does not have a latch. Zipper-only hard cases are more vulnerable to malfunction because zippers can break or split apart with stress or excessive wear. If the zipper splits on this case, I will have a latch as a backup method to keep my case closed. I may find myself in a predicament when I need to check my broken-zippered bag at the airport. Therefore, I have luggage straps. Luggage straps are extremely effective to keep my case closed and will help prevent excessive stress or damage to the zipper. I bought this 20 inches version because I have lots of big one. It is big enough to fill up with normal items like clothing, shoes, and toiletries will almost always put me right at the airline weight limits. The case is very light, but I will only fill it up about 80% to 90% avoid paying the excess weight fees. So, all my belongings would be tightly packed and more secure inside. My initial inclination was not to buy something cheap because I dont want it to break on the first trip, or having stuck wheels or finicky handles. This one should last for me.

I finally had a chance to use this bag for a week long trip that included domestic USA traveling by both air and mass transit (metro trains). I was pleased with how smoothly it rolled in the airport, within the metro train system and walking along a few city blocks. I was able to pack as much in it as my usual soft-side bag of a similar capacity. I do prefer having an exterior pocket available, though.
