I was a little surprised at the size of these hair clips from Mandydov even though the listing has it in the headline. I guess that I didnt realize how big 4.1 inches really is, it is big in case you dont realize it either. I have long hair but my hair is fine so these are a little over sized for me but would be great for someone with thick hair as they will hold a lot of hair. These are great looking with pretty colors and they are well made. They open and close easily and do hold my hair in place well even though my hair is fine and thin.

I really like the shape of these hair claws. The toothed part is curved, so sits nore naturally on my skull, and the rectangular shape helps a quick updo look more modern and intentional, less like an afterthought when racing out of the house! Nice muted colors, and the claws seem strong. They feel like they should last a long while. A single claw can hold all of my hair or part of my hair with no pulling or slippage. A great value for the money.

The description for these hairclips sounded really good so we gave them a try... we were NOT disappointed!! I am a male writing a review about these hairclips because I was truly impressed by their holding power with my daughters thick hair! She is Hispanic with thick hair that made it very difficult to find a hairclip that could hold her hair up. She is an athlete and when at home practicing in the yard she likes to put her hair up out of the way. She wanted something quick and easy as a hairclip, but we could never find that to hold her hair while she was active outside... until today!! The Good: - Great size to hold her hair up and out of her face! Not too big where it is in the way and not too small where it cant do what it is designed to do. - The hairclip has a very strong spring that keeps it closed. Honestly, the spring is a little too strong for my 13yr daughter sometimes, but she manages to get it on anyway. - The inside of the hairclip has small plastic teeth going the opposite direction as the bigger teeth which help hold it in place. This hairclip is designed to not fall out on its own. Very smart! - The colors are not bright and cheap looking at all. My daughter is very happy with the colors the way they are and so am I. Not too flashy. - The plastic is a good thickness and very sturdy. I feel this will last a good long while. The Bad: - None, we love these clips!

Finally a hair clip that works. This is not a flimsy one as so many others are. This one means business. And thats what I was looking for. There are a total of eight clips, so there is always one laying around the house and the colors are of a nice variety. Thumbs up.
