> 3 dayUsed this product to lap out tight spots in a rifle bore. Started out with the course grit and worked up to the finer grit. Worked great! No tight spots, has a mirror finish and accuracy went from marginal to fantastic. Highly recommended for any metal polishing and should work very well on other materials. Only negative was the 800 grit was dried out and had to dig it out of the syringe and add a drop of oil to soften it out, then it worked OK.

> 3 dayMy Seiko received 3 small parallel scratches on its Hardlex crystal. I have restored lots of vintage mineral crystal and acrylic crystals using Polywatch and a Dremel, but Hardlex is really hard. Started with the 14k grit, and then 5k and with my Dremel at low speed with a new wool pad, and within 15 minutes I noticed a difference. I’ve spent a few hours over a few days and the scratches are almost gone. I figure another hour with the 14k grit and it’ll be as good as new. Highly recommend for Hardlex.

Greater than one weekI polished with 7000 paper then used the 5000 diamond polish and the polish improved the shine, it looks even more amazing with the higher polishes. effortless polishing. It doesn’t take a lot to get a good result.

> 3 dayI purchased this to create some denim strips for my knives. I’ve tried leather strips but had mixed results and to be fair I may have been using them improperly but even after man my years of stropping with a green compound I got OK results. The knives I wanted to strop were some super blue steel (aogami ) knives as well as a Rockstead CHI knife. Rockstead recommends a denim strop on a wood backing which helps prevent rolling the edge and keeping alignment. The diamond paste came in 5 gram sizes and I used about 2.5-3 grams to cover each strop for the different grit sizes. I used enough to make get 70-90% coverage and spreading as best as I can. The results were fantastic! I took a blade that had done rough spots while cutting paper , it didn’t need to be sharpened on stones , and used the 4000 grit and moved up wiping any residue to prevent contamination. Came back beautifully sharp and sings when cutting paper again. The real test was my Rockstead CHI as I could tell it was a few hairs less sharp than normal but in near perfect condition. I used only the 8000 and 50000 grit. Absolutely factory perfect. Since then I’ve been using it on all my knives and they all get a noticeable improvement even if only doing the 50000 grit. Highly recommended and will be buying more grits.
