A really LOVELY and SOLID multi-function tablet stand + smartphone stand + e-reader stand, or if you use it in a car dashboard it can be a GPS stand too. Up receiving this tablet holder comes with very professional package and is very heavy ( > 3lb ). The carton color box is pretty strong, holding the box in your hand you can feel the product is pretty solid. the tablet+cell phone stand is folded inside the box to save space. I ordered the black color model. When take the stand out of the box, immediately you can feel it is so heavy - the weight comes from the metal base which is very important for a desktop stand to have steady holding for large 9.7 inch ipad or 10 inch samsung galaxy tab. Besides the aluminum stand, there is a small box containing a camera adapter for the most popular 1/4 inch tripod interface. Also there is a quick guide and a L shape hex wrench, there are two screws you can use this hex wrench to adjust the damping for arm left/right turning and for arm up/down turning. Best parts of this ipad+iphone stand so far: 1/ heavy duty made, very solid heavy base, so any tablet computer or smartphone you put onto it is extremely steady, no shaking; 2/ The widely expanded clamp holder can cover every tablet pc and mobile phone I ever have: from my oldest 2nd gen 3G iPad to my still working iphone 4, from my latest iphone 7+ to ipad pro 9.7 inch and Amazon Fire HD 8, and some other devices like Amazon Kindle White ( 6 inch ), DELL Venue 8 Pro, iPad Mini 2nd Gen, Google Nexus 5 android phone, Samsung Galaxy 5, Xiaomi 5.5 inch note 4. In simple word if your smart device is not larger than 11 inch, it works; 3/ the holder is heavy but still so easy to move around indoors from dinner table to sofa table, from office desk to kitchen countertop, from bathroom (yes I used it to watch videos when brushing teeth... ) to bedside table. The arm is very handy to grip; 4/ The mount arm and the clamp holder can do very flexible adjustment/rotation for the position you want. Its always well balanced there for any position you want ( thanks for the heavy base ), change from vertical to horizontal is done instantly; Backside of the clamp holder there is turning knob to adjust the damping for clamp holder 360 degree rotation too. I even brought once the aluminum tablet/smartphone holder to office. After folded, it can put into any small bag easily. Of course because of the weight it isnt good to carry it on the road everyday. The most common scenarios I used this stand is for my dinner time I can watch netflix movies, then during the cooking moments do iphone 7 facetime videos with friends; When I am working on my desk I used it to hold my iphone to check imessage/facebook message from time to time; Weekend afternoon I use it with my kindle e-book reader too. Such a versatile catch all stand product! Oh yes almost forgot to mention, I tried to put my Sony A6000 camera onto it too with the included 1/4 tripod adapter ( you need remove the clam holder first. Be carefully: dont touch the knob, only loose the wheel behind the clamp holder, then screw the camera adapter in ). Its so convenient to take videos from desktop with this adapter. Small part but bring huge benefits. I will try to upload some product photos I took from my phone later on. This is a no-brainer purchase, highly recommended. You will only agree with me more once you use this cute sturdy stand for all your needs at daily basis. Update: Uploaded some photos. You can see how cute, stylish and versatile this baby is!

Note: This is an updated review. My initial review reflected a very positive initial experience, but cited an issue that arose after about 6 months of regular use. As you can see in the comment at the end of this review, the manufacturer contacted me and addressed the issue quickly, so I no longer have the issue I reported. I couldnt have asked for a better resolution, and am very grateful for the excellent customer service. The review below has been updated to reflect their support. The stand has a solid, heavy base, so it stays in place with pretty much any articulation of the holding arms for both my iPhone and iPad Air. The clamps that hold the device have a good sized gap in the center, so if you clamp your phone at the top and bottom, the charger cord can plugged in and removed pretty easily. The clamps have strong springs, so the device is very secure, and they are thick enough to hold my iPad Air with the magnetic case still on. The base has a channel on the bottom to allow the charging cord (and/or speaker cords, if you choose to go that route) to run cleanly without pinching. And finally, they provide an allen wrench to tighten the pivot at the bottom of the holding arm so you can secure it tightly. The bottom pivot also rotates 360 degrees horizontally. In addition to the device clamps, there is a separate attachment for a camera mount, making this useful as either a tablet/phone desk stand or a still/video camera desk stand. This works great and provides great flexibility in the ways you can position your device. The device holder attaches to the bottom arm with a plastic ball clamped between two halves of a plastic sleeve, which you tighten with a knob to hold the device at whatever angle you set. This provides the widest range of positioning options for your device. I used mine almost every day at my desk for about 6 months. Thats when I began to have an issue with the gripping ability of the plastic ball/sleeve part of the device, and the manufacturer provided a resolution to make the stand like new within a few days of contacting me about my concern. This is really a 4.5 star unit. The half point deduction from 5 stars is just because it would be nice to have a lever to spread the clamps to insert and remove the device (the springs are very strong - which is a good thing), and maybe use a more reliable clamping mechanism for the ball joint. It would be nice to be able to adjust the bottom pivot without an allen wrench, but this is the joint that handles the most stress. These are minor negatives and if the unit continues to perform, I will probably get another one.

This stand is exactly what I wanted. It is heavy, heavy-duty, and works with my Note 9 and 8 tablet. I use it for my phone while at my desk. It holds the phone tightly, allowing me to access all phone features one-handed. Since I clamp the phone vertically, I can easily access the buttons on the side, i.e. volume & power (to wake) and with the gap in the clamp that holds the phone, I can charge it at the same time. Unfortunately, the gap is not wide enough to allow me to charge and use the 3.5mm jack at the same time; individually it works fine. I use it for my tablet when Im cooking, working on the car, fixing something or anything where I am referring to info, pics or video online or downloaded on my tablet. The clamps work on the side of the tablet, which does slip down if placed in a pure vertical orientation. When tilted back at 45° or better, there is no slippage. I dont have a case on my tablet, which might allow it to be held better or the grips could be made of a softer rubber so that it doesnt slide down. The tension under which the arm is held is adjustable by an female hex bolt / allen wrench (included) fixture. Over time, I have noticed that the arm gets squeeky when changing its angle, like rubber to rubber squeeky. I need to find a minimal lube that is safe for rubber. Id prefer it to be quiet but dont want it to lose the adjustable tension. The mount also comes with a camera mount fixture to allow you to swap out the clamping head for the screw mount found on the bottom of camera bodies for tripod use. This works great when using your phone for close-up shots of objects where steadiness is key for proper focus. It would work great for vloggers or anyone who needs to have a simple way of holding their camera at a low fully-adjustable angle. The mount blocks camera use on my phone but would allow the tablet camera if it held it tighter so it didnt slip. I dont ever use the tablet camera anyway.

Update: 8 months after we bought this, the stand would no longer hold onto the ball that allows it to swivel. The iPad kept falling out no matter how much I tightened the knob holding the ball, and so it was pointless to try to use the iPad in the stand. No worries! I emailed AboveTEK about it, telling them about the problem, and received a reply within a couple days asking me for the order number and a picture. I looked up the order on Amazon, took a screenshot, and took a picture of the 2 pieces of the rack, and emailed them my reply. In another couple days I received an email telling me a new stand was on the way. Within a couple days we had a new stand! Any product might fail in some way, that is bound to happen with anything, but when a company stands behind their product like AboveTEK has in this case, that is a company that has earned my trust, and I will stand by them, and continue to do business with them! Kudos to AboveTEK! Perfect! That’s what my wife keeps saying over and over again! For medical reasons, she frequently has to be confined to bed. She had been wanting something to hold her iPad when she went to bed, and wanted to watch a movie on YouTube, or play a game, or use her iPad for any other use while lying in bed. She thought about an articulating arm holder coming out from the headboard of the bed, but that would bounce around too much, especially if she wanted to tap on the screen to select things. She also considered a rack of some kind, but given that she would typically be using it at an angle, a fixed rack wouldn’t work very well. Another thought was some kind of “bag” type of support, but again, that wouldn’t work that well. She kept airdropping me ideas she had looked at, but for one reason or another, none of them seemed a very good solution. So I began to research myself. My thought was that it would have to be something portable, because each night before I came to bed, I had to get her iPad and connect it to her charger before I came to bed. So the articulating arm wouldn’t work well because it would be left hanging over her head. Then I found this AboveTEK Stylish Aluminum Tablet Stand, Cell Phone Stand, Folding 360° Swivel iPad iPhone Desk mount holder. With it, she can tilt her iPad for the best viewing experience while she is lying in bed. It is solid and has a heavy base, so it is very stable while watching a movie, or using the iPad for other things while in bed. Perfect! And even better, she can also use it throughout the house, wherever she is! It’s easy to just pick the whole thing up, the stand, iPad and all, and take it wherever she wants. It has rubber feet, so it doesn’t slide around on a table, desk, or any other surface. She can even use it on her lap if she chooses to! This thing is awesome! Perfect! Well, almost. The only thing at all that could be even better is, that because she has an Otterbox Defender case on her iPad, this stand just about hangs onto it. This case is fairly slim, but it still adds a bit of thickness to her iPad. So the only thing that could make this stand even better than perfect, is if it’s gripping arms were ever so slightly wider, in order to hold iPads with cases like this one a bit easier. A sixteenth of an inch wider would be just fine. But other that that, this stand is 99.9% Perfect!

The base is really made well. It’s strong and very sturdy except the small arms don’t open 2mm more for iPads with a case. I must remove my case to use the stand. If it only opened a tiny bit more, this stand would be awesome-tastic! And in case you ask, I’m using a Supcase unicorn beetle for iPad 12.9 with a kick stand on the back.

Its sturdy to a point. If you have a large tablet, and use it vertically you may want to have a second thought about purchasing the stand. I have a large tablet that is kind of heavy. The arms grab it, but it slides down when the tablet is being used vertically. Thus, the power cord can get in the way. I tilted it just enough to gain clearance to avoid this issue. Plus, the pressure of the arms makes it a chore setting up the tablet, and removing it from the stand. I believe that if the arm of the stand was taller, and the tension was adjustable, it would be a much better stand for larger tablets.

This Above TEK Swivel is AWESOME! However, it wouldve been 5 stars if there was an extendable arm option to lengthen it a bit. Otherwise, its a really good tablet stand. The adjustable screws looks durable (so-far). Only got it less than 2 days, so well see how long these parts hold off or last. Its a MUST buy!

This product does what it is intended to do. My product has issues with the handle clamps coming off when switching from an iPhone 10 to an iPad. I am trying to get a hold of the vendor to either get a refund or an exchange for a similar product that has a height adjustment. Pro: -Light and portable. -Sturdy base and rubber bottom. -360 rotation. -Adjustable handles. -Openings allow to charge device. Cons: -Fix arm handle position. -Separate accessories for handle clamps to hold other products. -Rubber ball and holder may come off during adjustment. -Handle clamps may come off when switching from phone to tablet. This product is great for those who want an extra screen either for casual viewing, controlling applications or programs that do no require long writing or sketching sessions, or keeping track of your devices while charging. Ive used this device as a way to organize my desk for streaming or online meetings. My advice would be to spend the extra 10$ for the one with an adjustable height and rotation. It is unfortunate that the vendor does not include and extra handle clamp that has different adjustment for other devices like other products do.

I tried multiple stands for my iPad mini and none of them met my needs. I was amazed by the quality and durability of this stand and have used it for over 4 years. Finally one of the small clips broke when I pushed it too hard, but this was my problem, not at all a defect in the stand. I immediately placed an order for a new one and expect it to arrive in 2 days.
