I was excited to receive this for review, I havent used an all-in-one form factor (other than an iMac) in a really long time, and I was interested to see what someone would get for around $700. Ultimately, this is using laptop internals, packed inside of a computer monitor. The power adapter only has an output of 65 watts, a normal desktop processor alone draws at least that much power and sometimes double. Computers have become powerful enough so that most people dont really need full-fledged desktops like that anymore though. A neat and tidy setup like this is more practical and elegant, so long as you dont need anything too powerful.

This computer makes a clean set up. The keyboard and mouse use a single dongle, so there are no wires for that. The DC power cord is the only wire required and it clips to the support. The power adapter has lots of good safety approval marks. The machine comes with a reasonable sized internal fast boot SSD drive C: and a larger mechanical HD for data, drive D: The mechanical drive tested to have an odd slowness for random read. I tested this multiple times and it was odd to see random read speeds lower than random write speeds. I did a speed test to see how well the wifi worked. Since this speed results includes my ISP internet speed, the wifi could be faster than this. I did upgrade from the Windows 10 that came on the machine to Windows 11. It took a good bit of time, but I didn’t encounter any problems. To gage the graphics performance I installed and went into a virtual world. I got frame rates of about 50 fps with the default settings somewhere between high and ultra. This is quite good. The camera on the screen has a shield for privacy. The camera did not support Windows hello. I would have liked a higher resolution screen, but other than that, I don’t see anything to complain about.

After several years of being a laptop-centric household, we decided it was time to replace our old desktop which we hadnt used in a while due to how slow it had gotten. After narrowing down features we needed, wanted, and though might be nice, this Acer Aspire Acer Aspire C27-1655-UA93 (whew, a mouthful!) checked most of the boxes of our list.

After 3 months keyboard and mouse failed - took 2 hours with tech support to get new keyboard/mouse(Logitech) to work (OEM keyboard/mouse is junk). Cant hook up externals speakers thru PC - Dont want bluetooth - tech support no help - thought there was a green 3.5mm port on the back of this unit - NOT! - told me to plug into headphone port - didnt work

I like its light weight, thin screen and its speed.

I will start this review with the admission that Im not a big fan of All-in-Ones. That said, this one seems to be a nice little unit for a typical home user.
