Acer Chromebook 14, Aluminum, 14-inch Full HD, Intel Celeron N3160, 4GB LPDDR3, 32GB, Chrome, CB3-431-C5FM

I didnt really need a 2nd laptop. I bought this Chromebook more out of curiosity than any urgent need.

Keeps crashing I updated it and tried to fix it but it’s just not worth the money

After reading all of the reviews, I took the plunge into the world of Chrome book and ordered this one. With the notion that set up would be a breeze, I ended up spending an entire day, on and off with ACER tech support, I packaged it back up and sent it back. Although the tech support folks were polite enough, I had difficultly understanding their English, which made it even more of a challenge. The computer would not allow me to get passed the initial set up page. They questioned my Modem and Router. so I also talked to Linksys Router support and Spectrum trying to discern the culprit. Ultimately, the ACER folks decided that I had a hard-ware issue with the Chromebook. They did offer to repair it, but I certainly had no intentions of accepting a refurbished product. Frustrating and wasted day.

This is a beautiful Chromebook. If you want to use it with ChromeOS then its terrific. If you want to boot some other OS it has some serious downsides. It is not well supported although that is improving.

UPDATE: After working with customer support, Ive just decided to get my money back. Instructions sent to me to recover and reinstall the OS have failed due to some hardware failure. I dont know what happened, but six weeks of this garbage is enough.

Great computer, great price, quick shipment. After several days, I have only one complaint. Wish it had an sd card slot.

Love it. Bought if for my middle-school daughter and it works well for her.

Thankfully this one has the ability to run Google Play Apps.

Bought this chromebook yesterday and so far I am highly satisfied with its overall performance and its build quality. I updated the OS and experienced no lock ups or broken functions, I simply relogged back into my google account and went on forward. The build is very light and the aluminium build is absolutely wonderful, giving the chromebook a very durable and almost expensive feel enough to make the macbook pro blush.As a student this easily sates my needs and I will gladly refer this to any student who thinks a 1000$ laptop is a good investment for college, anyone who is a basic user that relies on mostly browser work.
