> 3 dayI purchased this item a while back and am somewhat pleased, however the lack of HDMI ports and the non-cooperation of c type to HDMI adapters is upsetting (cant connect to my hdmi projectors even with adapters). It comes with google chrome excel, word, etc. I would suggest holding off for a better laptop (i purchased it when acer products were having a sale on Amazon). It lacks some of the normal keyboard keys (delete and caps lock) and also the lack of a right click mouse for easy options. The saving features when downloading files also add onto the headache of easily moving files.

23-11-2024My chromebook arrived with software issue that Acer could not resolve and my options was either send to repair shop or send back to Amazon for refund. I sent it back for refund. My new chrombook arrived dead on arrival. So I cant really give it a rating.

> 3 dayThe Acer Chromebook was easy to get started on right out of the box. I was surprised to see that the power cable connects to a micro-USB port, which is different than any laptop I’ve ever owned. I got this so my son (age 4.5) could visit some educational websites and learn to use a computer. He caught on really quickly, partly because he’s used to how a tablet works. The Chromebook doesn’t have a desktop, just a bar at the bottom where you can pin apps. I wish there was a way to enlarge the app icons – they’re too small to distinguish in some cases. I love that I can pin the apps my son can use, and hide the others (eventually he’ll figure out how to see all apps, but he’s fortunately not there yet lol). The battery lasted about four hours from a full charge, but he was watching videos and playing interactive games so it might last longer for someone who uses it just for email and surfing the internet. Great product for people who don’t need a lot of apps or for computer novices.

> 3 dayThe screen would only come on when the top or side of screen was gently tapped or squeezed and that was only randomly. Something was obviously wrong with the laptop from the factory. From reading reviews several people have had problems with black screens either they never came on or they come on and go off.

> 3 dayThis laptop is amazing...when it works. Every few weeks the touch screen capability stops working. Not gonna lie, that makes me really hate this laptop. We use it very gently for homeschool typing. There’s no reason it shouldn’t work all the time.

> 3 daybought this 2.5 years ago. Wrote a review that I loved it. a year later it was going to hell so this review reflects that. After nine months right side USB quit working. By one-year wifi connection would drop out routinely on ANY internet connection. By year two webcam started failing. Currently, it just shuts off and wont turn back on without effort. PIECE OF JUNK. Never abused or dropped. Had to buy a new chrome book. I understand this is a cheap chrome book by some standards but 305$ in 2019 aint cheap. Bought a Samsung. Never again Acer.

> 3 dayI appreciated the size and clarity of the screen, and it having touch screen functionality. I realized that this has a slower Celeron processor and only 4GB of memory, but loading an initial web page took long enough to be irritating. I found a closeout HP laptop for $70 less that has Windows 10 on it, that seems more responsive.
