So a few days ago I would probably have rated this as a great device for working in austere conditions. The issue is that I didn’t power it on for roughly a week and now it not only will not turn on but the charging light won’t even turn on after 10 hours on the charger. I like the Chromebook and think it’s fairly good for the price point but considering the fairly light conditions it’s faced I’d be hard pressed to recommend it.

Just recd this computer and have used it now for 2 days. So far, I like the taller screen as it gives you much more usable space for webpages and such. On a regular screen size those annoying banners take up a good part of the page, so this computer allows for better viewing. The battery life is far superior to a Samsung Chromebook of which this computer replaced. I also notice right off that this Acer has much more volume than the Samsung. I like the matte black too as I hate shiny/glossy computers as it shows every little handprint. Overall for the price this is a dandy computer. Oh yeah...also its faster than the Samsung and has the same advertised memory. I may buy another and just keep it in the box for a backup.

I picked up this computer for my mother who knows nothing about computers (which is why I will not let her touch mine). This is a great beginner computer. It is very easy to setup. You just turn it on and follow the directions on the screen. I am glad that it does not require a password to logon. My mother would never be able to remember one. I like that this is compact and lightweight. It has a good display. It moves at a good speed. I was surprised by how quick it worked. It has a nice keyboard. This is just what my mother needed. She can sit in her chair in the living room and work on this computer (and ask me dozens of questions). There are plenty of apps in the store to download for her. It has a good battery life which is important since my mother works in her chair. She can watch videos on this with no problem. This is a durable laptop that can handle being dropped (which happened the first day). I like that in a pinch, I can use it as well. I can still access MS Word and Excel (online versions). This computer is easy to use as well as durable.

This Acer Chromebook is the perfect little laptop for web browsing, or video streaming. It is small and lightweight, but works pretty much just like my full-sized laptop. It may not be quite as zippy, but its fast and its good for a college student or using for travel. It seems fairly sturdy and was very easy to set up and connect to my wifi. The trackpad is a good size and is very responsive. I have been using this to edit documents for work, streaming shows and online shopping, and it has been great so far. Overall, this Chromebook is well-priced and good for anyone who needs a basic laptop.
