> 3 dayLike I set as the reason for return to the seller, the PC is alleged to be a gaming desktop, but after I received it and opened the box, only to see it lacking the basic gaming function, Display Port, which is considered as essential function port nowadays to be ready-made for gamers and can support 144 HZ and above refresh rate for FPS games such as Call of Duty and Fortnite to run fluently while HDMI is much lower. Oh man, DP is baaaasic, otherwise how come Nitron is especially alleged by Acer to be gaming array priced over $798.00, without even DP? You cannt react quick enough with HDMI. The word Gaming in your title doesnt make sense. So I just returned it without even trying it.

04-04-2025My last computer was an Acer and I’ve been pleased with the performance. I don’t use it as frequently since it’s almost 4 years old now. Having a newer computer under $1000 that has the updated features and capabilities is what the Acer Nitro 50 offers. More power, better graphics and overall better experience. Upgrading every few years to the newest technology can be costly that’s why I typically try to set a budget of less than a grand. I am not a big gamer but for occasional gaming, work and personal tasks this was perfect for me.

> 3 dayWhen I was younger I went through and built a fully custom PC. While I loved that experience I was starting a new job and moving and just needed a computer I could use to play games with my partner. This pc is fantastic for that purpose! Literally plug and play for set up and the SSD had everything loading lightening quick. I think I’ll probably expand storage with a hard drive but for now it’s running perfect. I’m not trying to play the newest games at the highest settings so I haven’t noticed a dip in FPS or any glitching.

> 3 dayIt heats up way too fast, but then again, this is an entry level desktop. Still, for 800 dollars, I expected something much more. It’s life expectancy is terrible.

> 3 dayBought this for my son for Christmas backing August because it was so expensive. It has been sitting in the box since then. He opened it today on Christmas and we have had nothing but issues since. He literally was in tears because this was his only gift from us and it isnt working. You barley touch it and it restarts all on its own. EVERY game he has tried to play has frozen on him and we have to log out of the computer and back in.

> 3 dayArrived in good order. Booted up without issue. Found my WiFi. Connected like a champ. Updated no issue. Window 11 ready. SSD is the way to go these days. 8 gig memory installed as advertised. Added another stick of Acer 8 gig. 16 gig RAM recognized. Expandable to more if needed. Video card is just fine for those running games. I play Uboat that is a resource hog like no other. Game plays without issue or lag at all. There is a nice feature named Nitrosense preinstalled. The app controls the cooling fans automatically or at a set speed if desired. Playing Uboat that sucks the life out of the CPU and GPU the fans kicked into high for cool running while I played the game. That my friends are a nice feature. And to add, the fans run slowly when heavy gaming is not in use. As a result, it is very quiet as one simply browses or is working emails, etc.

> 3 daySo I actually bought this to be able to focus on school work and still be able to game. This actually turns out to be good for both things and runs fast and smooth. Id 100% buy this if you cant afford to make your own.

05-04-2025Im still working with the seller to try to fix the situation. The computer showed up, I removed all the bloat (programs Ill never participate in). I do video editing and sound design so just needed something for semi-heavy rendering with Vegas Pro 20 & Studio One 6 Recording software. 2 weeks in, everything happened in 1 day. Rebooted on its own. No big deal right? Then a couple hours later during light work load (no gaming, Im not a gamer) long beep that wouldnt stop. Turned off with the power button. Waited maybe 10 minutes. Pushed the power button; nothing, no power. Been through all the troubleshooting (most of which I couldnt do because no power) but I figured they knew something I didnt. It is currently a paperweight. I will proably come back and update this later but if someone asked me today, Id say DO NOT buy this computer. Ive heard about nothing but problems, even possession after doing more research on the internet. I guess Acer doesnt care about their customers. I like Lenova. Ive had 3 in the past 10 years and have had nothing but good experiences. My T430 Laptop has out lasted everything. Im on it now. Stay tuned for more later.

Greater than one weekPurchased as a gift for grandson and was disappointed to find the included keyboard was missing the 10 key keypad enter key. Because it was sold as a package it was to much of a hassle to return the entire system for just a keyboard issue. Be careful.
