> 3 dayI am interested in the Acer Predator Triton 500 PT515-52-73L3 Gaming Laptop for one primary reason - to drive (at a framerate greater than 30FPS) an LG 55 HDR display at 3840 × 2160 with the graphics detail cranked up to at least High End within the Microsoft Flight Simulator 2020. I also need to plug the flight peripherals plugged directly into the laptop. Can this laptop handle it?

> 3 dayIf I’m just writing a lazy letter or polishing off a opponent using the most up to date hardware with a three hundred Hz refresh rate that just gave me the edge to do so. It does both with very little fanfare. There is a reason it’s called a Predator Triton five hundred. with a capital P. It’s on par with other top of the line gaming computers on the market currently. It was easily set up as a computer voice that really puts you at ease talks you through setup. First thought the computer sort of growled and set the keys aflame with fire as they transversed about on the keyboard. It’s a awesome start to what’s going to be a thrill ride to remember. I first called and hammered out the warranty with the company as it is a computer and things do go wrong periodically and knowing what’s expected of me and return policy etc, etc……sooo all that’s in order. Past bad experiences have ingrained warranty fanfare as a first necessity with computer ownership. I’ve been using it for about a week and I’m getting quality performance from whatever I do. If I add a app it just sings and there it is, if I want to cruse through a heavy program that requires a lot of RAM, there it is with just a little a of a whirling blade to be heard. But when I start a game and fast is what’s needed I just kick the Turbo button and I can hear the blades start getting rid of the heat I’m causing during play and at the set point I appointed. Or I leave it to itself to monitor and determine what’s needed automatically. I mostly will be using that because I love set and forget computer automatics because then I can concentrate on other things that have to be done manually and I have to remember them. I could here it cycle without my input during play. The graphics are a definite show pleaser and my eyes were transfixed with solid color rendering that made games and music videos hypnotically additive but very much enjoyable. My thirteen point four inch old laptop just can’t compete with the predator at any level. It’s still a good computer (Yawn) but it’s probably going to get pushed further and further into the back of my closet and as time goes by my future self that now lives in a robot finds it and has a good laugh. In other words the Predator Triton 500 meets the hype I read on it and exceeds it brilliantly. Battery life is what is expected for a gaming laptop of this caliber and if you need more than a few hours of laptop time then pass this one up and I’ve got a thirteen point four inch one with ten hours of battery life for sale. Update (21 September 2020) I’m having a very fun time playing games that require fast paced moving and I’m really having a blast. The resolution and colors make it a pleasure to play. I’m not really bothered by the fans as they work to keep the heat away and for this type of computer it’s expected. It’s a fun computer for a ton of different types of gaming and I can even do my bills blazing fast as well, although THAT just isn’t as fun. Five Stars ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️!!!

> 3 dayI dont like bulky thick laptops, this is great because its really thin compared to others, also it doesnt have too much led which i liked alot. It also has some minimal look. One thing I will say is the power brick, which is quite large and heavy, but other than that its a great laptop. I would love to see a type c charger from acer that we could purchase and use it for on this laptop. Will do a in depth review in 2 to 3 months.

> 3 dayVery fast delivery , came 2 days after ordering even if it said that i should wait for 10 days. Battery life when gaming is shorter but as expected when you are using this laptop for gaming you should be connected to charger all the time to boost your fps anyway, so no complaints. Good experience so far.

23-11-2024Mostly just wanted to share what I didnt know.. the i9-12900H cannot be undervolted to help cool the system. You cant do it in the BIOS, or with XTU or Throttlestop.. its an Intel thing.. that being said you CAN easily control the fan speeds, etc. to try to keep the temps you want.

> 3 dayThis laptop has plenty of pros... Modern 12th Gen Intel CPU, NVidia 3080Ti (laptop version), plenty of RAM. They were a bit stingy on the SSD but 1TB will get you by for a while. The screen is a nice improvement over the laptop its replacing (close to years old). I was pleasantly surprised the only bloatware of significance was Norton, which I immediately got rid of - nobody needs that garbage.
