What good is a laptop if you can’t connect it to a wifi network? This Acer Swift laptop has been glitching occasionally since it arrived, but yesterday (less than 6 mos. after it arrived) the network device just died. Of course Amazon didn’t take responsibility after 90 days, but their rep was super helpful connecting me with Acer tech support somewhere in southeast Asia. The laptop comes with a 1 year repair warranty. The catch is, you have to pack it up, ship it at your own expense, and wait from “15 to 20” days for a diagnosis. Oh yeah, and don’t expect to have any of your files intact upon its return. It’s a colossal hassle!

Laptop arrived bent, with a hole on back! Crazy! Nobody checked before shipping.

I was amazed at how light weight this laptop is. Acer is an affordable line that offers value for the money.

We are happy so far with his computer. Its very light, the screen is like a crystal and it is lightning fast thanks to the SSD

It is so light that I often have to check my bag to make sure it is there! So far, it has done everything I’ve asked of it.

After 2 months the speaker stopped working except intermitently and when it does it is totally garbled and full of static and crackling. The keyboard works fine until it stops completely and I have to restart the computer. This happens every few days. Really ridiculous for a brand new machine. And of course its not possible to return it now.
