Es ist schwierig die Hauptfunktion zu bewerten, nämlich im Notfall eine Positionsmeldung abzusetzen und im besten Fall gerettet zu werden. Ich hoffe dass ich diesbezüglich niemals in die Lage komme eine Bewertung abgeben zu können. Was aber schon mal gut funktioniert ist der GPS Test mit der Anzeige der genauen Position. Auch gut, die Batterie ist bist Juni 2026 haltbar! Sehr gut auch die Kommunikation mit dem Verkäufer GTC in UK, speziell bei der verzögerten Auslieferung, verursacht durch FedEx.

I opted for the slightly more expensive version..PLB 425 ..it has a nice screen that gives you instant acknowledgement the unit is on and working. (I have only tested it - not actually activated it) Comes with a carrying case ..you can attach to your belt or Velcro loop to something. I ordered mine from Orbital Satcom corp..an outfit from the United Kingdom. My first unit had an issue with the labels - the date of manufacture was missing (thus I was unable to register it with ACR for the warranty. After contacting both Orbital Satcom and ACR..i was sent a new unit...problem solved. Check your label on the box and the unit itself.. make sure date of manufacture is on there.

In my opinion, every boater should have one. If you are a hunter or hiker get one. Everyone lost could have been found by coast guard. Avalanches happen so be prepared for what you cant control. I pray I never have to use mine, but I am not afraid to take on the adventure now that I have one.

Got this for Christmas. Registered the unit and tried to conduct their recommended Basic Self Test. Unit failed the Self-Test. I have contacted ACR. I will update this based on how they respond.

Bough this thing a couple of days ago, registered the device, test it and it all went good....The next day ( day #2 after purchase) I went fishing with a couple of my friends, I clipped it in my belt before I left my dock, half way through my trip I look and the device is completely gone gone gone, It was rough day out fishing and it the belt clip must have broke from all of the bumps due to the waves while cruising, this device should withstand this type Impact but it failed.

Haven’t needed it yet hope to never buy gives awesome peace of mind. Battery is good till 2026 easy to register and now I have it tied into my life jacket. I go offshore kayak fishing and needed a little more protection. I will update if I ever have to use it I looked and looked and didn’t see one but their website had tons.

Exactly as advertised.

Received product in a timely manner but the battery only has 4 years and 3 months left on the battery. Dont advertise 5 years when you dont get 5 years on the battery.
