Lightweight an easy to use, but gradations are in feet and inches instead of feet an hundredths as shown on the illustration. This will require a calculator to use it effectively. Try subtracting 3 feet 7-7/8 from 12 feet 6-3/8.

The aluminum grade rod is perfect for my use. Along with the hand level I use, I am able to quickly take measurements to check roadway grading without setting up a full level.
