> 24 hourUsed to be able to buy this stuff in any automotive shop or hardware store. Now you have to go out of your way to find it. I got it to lube the tachometer cable on my Cessna 182 because the tach had a nervous needle. Pulled the cable out and squeezed a generous amount in to the cable guide from the top. Ran the cable in and out a few times to distribute it over the cable and guide and then added more oil for good measure. Yes, its messy. Put everything back together and the tach needle has been steady ever since.

> 24 hourNote: This will not work on new , computer controlled speedo clusters. Had a bouncy speedometer needle with a brand new, oem speedometer cable. (Pro tip: a bouncing needle is almost always caused by a dodgy cable setup ). Did a bit of research and purchased this product. Removed and lubricated the cable and reinstalled. No more bouncing needle.

> 24 hourMy Pantera speedo cable is 11.5 long, from the back of the transaxle to the back of the dash. There are a lot of opportunities for binding. I had an erratic speedometer needle until I used this product. The needle is not perfectly steady but 99% better.
