I bought an LG surround sound system at a discounted price without a remote. I found the exact remote for the unit on Amazon. The remote worked perfectly with no issues. I just made sure the LG surround sound model number matched the remote.

Im giving this a good review because it does as it should. My friend had the original remote and they almost look identical. It worked right out the box without having any setup issues to deal with

The remote did work out of the box, but I will say that the only buttons which function on the remote are “POWER”, “VOLUME UP/DOWN” and “FUNCTION” buttons. You cannot adjust the tuning, or use any other button on the controller. So if you’re looking only to turn it on and change the volume I guess it works great for that.
