ALLWAY CT31 3-in-1 Caulk Tool for Removal and Application

Does what it says to do, simple but good tool

I like the tool, small , easy to use, big help, I give four stars because metal one no sharp enough to remove old caulk

We were really excited to be able to use this tool. A video I watched online showed nice strip of old caulk coming off as the person glided a similar tool along the shower wall/floor joint. Well, this product didn’t work like that at for our shower. Nor did it work to easily scrape off the old caulk as in the video on Amazon for this tool. The problem for us is that our shower was made to have a gap between the wall and the floor tiles. This gap had grout and then was caulked on top of that. So, it was very difficult to remove the caulk. There was a tiny section that stayed wet and we felt there was a leak. But to fix that, we had to remove the caulk and the grout. Messy job.

Over many many years, I have tried many different culture tools. For application and finish smoothing, this is the best I have ever used. The removal portion is OK, does not completely remove the call, but remove the majority to allow a scraper to pick up the balance. The silicone tip smoother, with three different bead options makes a great finish line, and it is fast and easy. Cannot recommend highly enough.

Helps a lot with caulking tasks

It isnt clear why this is called a 3 in 1 tool as it seems to have only two functions. It removes SOME of the old caulk and then smooths the new caulk. The fixed and non-replaceable cutting blade is rather wide so it does not get deep into the gap between tiles. In trying to get it to get more (enough) of the old caulk I applied too much pressure resulting in scaring the top of the tub. I had hoped the tool would allow one to remove all the caulk by digging deep into the tile gap. I had to resort to using a small screwdriver for that important function. The second function for the tool is to smooth the new caulk. This entails using a rubber foot which has 3, yes 3, different angles. My guess is that this is the 3 in 3 in 1. The smoothing tool works almost as well as a wet finger but saves you from the horror of having caulk on your finger. :-) I was not able to get the cute smooth tool to get a good curve in the corners so resorted to using my finger and finally just went back to finger everywhere which was faster and easier to control - for me anyway. This is a typical Chinese product with very little useful information about usage. The usage information is in the attached image. The construction of the tool is good. It would have been better if the cutting blade angle was more acute so the blae would go into the tile gaps.

I got this for a neater look when putting caulking around the tub. Did not work so well for me. Maybe I just do not know how to do it or maybe the caulk just wasnt the right consistency. Is great, though, for getting old caulking off of the tub. Not disappointed that I purchased it. Just not what I expected.

This tool takes a little getting used to but works great in some places. It doesnt work in very narrow areas. Both my husband & I found it to be useful.

Made the job of removing chaulk in bathroom so much easier.!
