Amazon Basics 3-Piece Set Hardside Spinner, Orange

Went to Hawaii on my first post Covid trip. I realized I needed a new suitcase after examining my luggage collection. Suitcase was highly recommended by one of my clients, and it was EVERYTHING. Featherweight, plenty of room, rolls in every direction, excellent price point!

Bought the 26 AmazonBasics hard-sided 4-wheel bag on short notice for a week-long road trip for work. On side contained my full-size backpack with handtools and a 3/8 corded power drill. The other side was packed with a weeks worth of clothing and a lot of overnight essentials. Flew from Ft Lauderdale to Kansas City, in and out of the rental car all week, then flew back from Wichita to Ft. Lauderdale... The suitcase travelled very well. The wheels were sturdy and worked great through the airports. The load I packed was heavy, but I didnt need to expand the bag, and I did use a luggage strap around the case, so I dont know how well it will hold up overtime. To be honest, the $100+ price tag didnt seem to justify what I first pulled out of the shipping box, but after using the bag I can say I am happy with my purchase and I would recommend the bag. I might be buying the matching carry-on size and color for trips that dont require a checked bag.

Tested the 21in carryon on a flight west coast to east. Handled beautifully. Lots of room for a long weekend. East to maneuver. It did not roll well on carpeted areas but not a deal killer. I only wish it locked. Testing it again on a cross oceanic trip . I will bring a lock just in case. Good value so far.

So, I am leaving in two days and was pushing it ordering this so close to my departure date. It arrived on time. It is the size I needed for two travelers. The color is wonderful. The space is awesome. The only issue is the inside zipper is inside out. I usually put some items on that inside zipper but since its inside out and missing the piece to pull the zipper up and down, Im giving this item 3 stars. Its too late for me to do a return. The coat was great and its sturdy for the amount of money I spent I expected to be able to use the inside zippers to store more items. All of the other zippers work well.

This actually holds a lot of clothes for the size. I love this but I should have gotten a different color.

This lightweight suitcase holds more than you would think, is easy to push or pull around and easy to hoist up into overhead compartments. It is durable and attractive too. I just got back from a trip with planes, trains and automobiles and it worked great.

UPDATE BELOW.....Wow. These suitcases are AWESOME for the price! I was expecting a lot less. I purchased 3. I chose the bright, safety orange. Easy to see in the sea of other colors for sure. The outer shell is hard - sturdy feeling. The inside is roomy. They are around 5-6 deep in each side (Ive included some pics - sorry about holding the ruler upside down - but you can see its about 5 to 6) One side is zipper closed, the other side has elastic straps to contain contents. The outer zippers are sturdy feeling and run smoothly. There is also an extender zipper giving you an extra 2 or so in depth. Honestly, these suitcases feel as nice as some others I have purchased for literally 4x the price! All the nice care points too with the inner zipper, and additional pockets. It looks and feels like a suitcase way beyond the price point. Now, in all fairness, they are new to me and I will be using them on a trip in about a week. So, I will update my review should new info seem useful. The ad says they weigh just under 10lbs.. I used my handheld suitcase scale and it registered 9.1 lbs empty. One of the pics I included shows me holding a 12 ruler so you can get an idea of the width of the inside of the cases. The pull out handle is not as sturdy feeling as I would like... but it works- It locks down and lifts easily. It appears or feels like the pullout handle is plastic at the handle part.. the bar appears to be lightweight aluminum - so it might be bent with lots of use.. well see. There are two grab handles one on the top and one the side of case. The outer wheels are multi-directional... and stick out quite a bit and Im not sure they are as sturdy as the rest of the case. If there is an Achilles heel on these bags... the wheels may be it or possibly the pull handle.. but we as I said, time will tell and I never hesitate to update. Ive included some pics and hope my review was helpful to you. UPDATE: 12/4/2019.... Have taken these suitcases through the airline system two times so far... NO problems to report. I am happier and happier with this purchase... but time will tell and I update if new info seem useful.

I have a few sets of these and they are great and fit a lot of stuff. The quality is decent , I’ve had some issues with the zipper a few times and the handle doesn’t stay up sometimes.
