Amazon Kindle Paperwhite Leather Case, Onyx Black - fits all Paperwhite generations prior to 2018 (Will not fit All-new Paperwhite 10th generation)

Love my Kindle paper white but the cover I had purchased just wore out. Because it was an older version was afraid this new cover wouldnt fit but it did! Looks lovely. Though the description of built in light is offered above, the light isnt necessary because the Kindle has its own light.

Honestly, if youve got the money (or the Amazon points), you cant go wrong with this Amazon leather cover for any of the previous kindle models. I got one in dark blue when I bought a first-gen paperwhite in 2014, and it is still in great shape after being taken on many trips and packed in many carry-on bags. The hinge in particular shows very little wear despite its travels. We just got a second older-model kindle, so my husband and I could each read a kindle book at the same time, and I bought a cheaper case to go with it. Well, I ended up returning that case the day after it came and ordered another of these original leather covers instead. It feels nice in your hands and the kindle fits perfectly in it. The little metal bar at the closure is much more solid than the stick-out plastic tab that was on the other case, and I like that it sits flush with the rest of the case, so it cant snag on things. The other thing I really like is that the bumper that surrounds the kindle is made of a softer rubbery material with a little give to it, versus the hard plastic shell of the cheaper case. Just makes it feel more secure and protective. I expect this new kindle and case will hold up just as well as the first one. So, yeah, pay a little more and be satisfied for a longer time. That would be my recommendation. The persimmon color is very pretty as well.

This does not fit KINDLE 7th Generation MODEL NO. WP63GW. (2015) Nice quality case, but misrepresented in description. It does not fit the above described kindle model. Aggravating to purchase then find out!

My order arrived promptly. It is slightly less black than my first case, but it fits perfectly. My Kindle 6th gen looks like new all over again. I am glad i opted for this case instead of the cheaper models. It is really robust. The picture attached shows my old, tattered case that served me well for all this years, protecting my Kindle which i carry and travelled miles and miles with me all the time. I would recommend this case to anyone looking to pimp up his or her Kindle.

It’s is a perfect fit for my Kindle. It’s not as thick as my previous one so takes of less room in my purse.

I bought this in the gorgeous purple color over a year ago, and it still looks new (I use my Kindle almost every day and fly with it frequently). Since using e-readers for many years now, I do sometimes miss the feel of a new hardback best-seller in my hands. This cover makes up for that. The inside of it is very firm but smooth and soft, so nothing is scratched, but the kindle responds well to opening and closing of the cover, as advertised. The leather has a “pebbled” finish and feels luxurious in my hands. It barely weighs a thing.

A lovely product, makes my paper white look extra special.
