AMD Ryzen 5 3600XT 6-core, 12-threads unlocked desktop processor with Wraith Spire cooler

Review is for experience not product. Based on reviews I would have expected a 10/10 product, but to save $20 I opted for the like new amazon certified option. The amazon box over top the AMD product was fine, but in the inside the AMD ryzen box was torn open and the cpu cooler was there looked unused, but the CPU was not there. Customer service was seemed to sound reassuring to the issue, but remains unresolved until they receive the product back on their end. This wasn’t so much an upgrade as it was the remaining ingredient to a new build. Which I had everything assembled ready to go. It’s kind of like getting in a car accident, it not being your fault, the insurance is fixing everything, but I’m without my car. In this case I don’t get a immediate Rental or one at all. I like the very good and like new options since it helps to save some, but this experience wasn’t good.

At this point AMD and Intel have better (newer) options, but this is a solid CPU regardless. I run this with a 2070 super from Nvidia and Ive been able to game on a 1440p ultrawide while streaming a movie on a different screen and having a chat window open on another, and it handles it all with ease. Also use this for video and photo editing and its made my workflow much faster.

But from my research it was within specs. 50-80C, idle to gaming. Added this fan:

I paid like $300 for it and only received a cooler in the box without a cpu.

The issue with this product is that the product makes my computer shut down every time I do a stress test on it. I am filling for a return for a new cpu I will keep it updated and see what they say.

Price was right when purchased and g/f is enjoying.

Not a fan of the ridiculous prices on CPUs right now. Had to buy what I could find. Paying $80 over MSRP is nuts, but at least it performs at Ryzen 7 3700x levels.

Best cpu for gaming.

I have always used Intel for my builds but the wife needed a new computer and didnt want to spend a ton of loot.

if you want to take the risk of not being able to return this then go ahead and buy it but i have tried to return this for a couple weeks and they have not even tried to help me get it to them. no refund
